i m not sure if my situation is considered 'downgrade'. Coz my phone is running 6.1.2 now and i just want to restore it. Have not installed IOS 7 yet.

I need advice, I tried JB my ipad2 ios 7.0.4 but it failed and I am stuck on the logo screen. The worst thing is I did not back up my ipad on my itunes. Is it possible for you all to tell me how to recover my poor Ipad?

Jailbreak is just to install and addition store called "Cydia" into ur ios, it is the alternative apps store wihich not only for dl apps, also allow u to unlock some features of the phone, install tones of tweaks and allow u to customise ur iphone like android user do. So, as least for me myself, i think that there is no harm / bad to get iphone jailbroken, the only bad things is, jailbroken iphone will void ur warranty (yes and no if u know what to do) and also cannot update ios over the air.

Good thing u can customize ur iphone in terms of appearance, speed, and much more. Also there are many tweaks in cydia to choose from to make your iphone even better.

The bad.. None as i recall. Just remember to do it the right way, and also remember to restore your iphone to stock firmware in case u want to send the phone for warranty. Easy as that.

Well I can name a few bad things from jailbreaking

1. You can't get the latest update from Apple if there's no jailbreak for the latest version. Now already 7.1.1

3. Pirated apps

4. Unstable and conflicting tweaks makes the phone/tablet unstable

5. Those who are not well verse with jailbreaking might open a security hole for hijackers i.e. thru SSH or malware from untrusted repositories

6. Cannot use paypal to pay GSC movies

thanks! hmm void warranty huh?! i better stay away from jailbait then.... yeah i dont care about those tweaks thing.. i dont like it either but i heard good thing is download free stuff all that from kne paid one... make me want to jailbait my phone...i ask shop they charging me 50rm! expensive ohh.. is there any tutorial? did u guys jailbait?

And it's jailbreak, not jailbait. Since you don't even know the proper term for it, better keep your distance from jailbreaking. Else you end up spoiling the thing.

Yup warranty will void but its easy just restore phone to stock firmware all is well.

Alamak another fella thinking of jailbreak is for piracy , even if u need ur so called "free stuff", u dont need to jailbreak to get it done

Still under contract, still making payments, but they won't unlock it for her unless she pays over 550 euro (nearly 2.5kRM)
