if you plan to buy things, advisable to bring more.. unless u plan to swipe with credit card hehe.. usually i bring 2.5-3k per pax whenever i go Korea.. every time not enough to spend  tongue.gif

I only spent RM2k during my 8D7N trip (inclusive of accommodation, train card and attractions in Busan, Jeju and Seoul). Ate pretty good meals and all but only shopped for souvenirs in Myeongdong coz' all clothing on sale are winter wear. Ended up buying a lot of Peperos at 7 Eleven and still brought RM1k back.

I reloaded my train card with about RM200 for the entire trip (thought transportation would be as expensive as that in Japan). Lost the card during my trip to Gyeongbokgung (about RM150 of credit in it cry.gif) and had to buy another one but it's still within the RM2k of expenses. I'm impressed with how cheap travelling to Korea actually is.

it depends on different people perspective and spending also. i have friends that travel to Korea and they dislike. mentioning expenses is very high and people are rude compare to Aussie doh.gif whereas i never encounter that but nevertheless i have to admit that their standard of living is high. price wise comparable with USA

next time you should try out their local cafe. don't go those commercialize and many branches of coffee shop because their coffee or dessert is nicer and less crowded.. you have another reason to go again ya thumbup.gif

Hi, does anyone has ski tour recommendation? Ski tour recommended by guesthouse is ₩ 240,000/person, out of budget ><

Meanwhile, anyone knows how & how much does it cost if I go myself instead following tour?

Thank you very much in advance!

You don't need to go for a ski tour. Just go straight to the ski jump, rent the equipment and ski. Ski rentals is about KRW25,000-30,000 per person depending on which resort. If you stay at the resort, you can get 40-50% discount on rentals.

If you want lessons, you can also pay for lessons. They have individual and group packages.
Which resort are you going to?

Haha, I plan based on orientation lol hehe...

After Korean war memorial, it is easier to go to Gangnam-gu as it is located immediate southeast of the area haha...

Day 1 since from Seoul station, easier to focus on Nandaemun, Namsan...

Gamcheon or Taejongdae see first smile.gif

2 days not enough unless you plan to just stroll around and visit few attraction? also the hassle to check in and out of guesthouse. it depends on whether you feel worth it or not. different people have different view

I did encounter a few Koreans who pushed other people at crowded areas, but it wasn't as bad as it was in China so all's good. Wouldn't say they are rude though.

I feel there's so many cafes that I haven't been to either! Would definitely want to go back again. Purposely went to a korean restaurant for dinner to eat kimchi and bulgogi last night biggrin.gif

You can take the KTX. 3 hours from Seoul to Busan, very convenient.
