I am going to South Korea next month.

It will be quick and rushing trip.

Day 1: Arrive at Seoul at 8 am from KUL.
Day 2: Tour to DMZ (730 to 1430), Seoul City Tour
Day 3: Seoul City Tour
Day 4: Busan City Tour
Day 5: Fly back to KL from Busan at 10 am

I shall make another trip to South Korea, maybe next year.

I had made a booking for DMZ tour. Specifically, tour in Panmunjom, Freedom House, Camp Bonifas...

Lunch wise, I asked for alternative of bulgogi since I don't consume beef, they agreed smile.gif

yeah quite a quick and rushing trip but since most of it is by city tour than at least will cover most of the main attractions.. next round go by freedom without those city tour la.. err.. i thought you only interested on Japan?  tongue.gif  rich la you. after tour Japan now tour Korea. i bet you will prefer Japan over Korea  whistling.gif
*
Ah, I didn't follow tour. City tour as in personal visit around city area laugh.gif It will be all on my personal initiative.

The only arranged tour is the DMZ tour. For the lunch provided, instead of bulgogi, I requested for bibimbap instead laugh.gif

Accomodation wise, all through Airbnb.

In Seoul, I will be staying in area about 3 stops away from Dongdaemun. In Busan, Haeundae area smile.gif

Free and easy travel on my own. Much like what I did in Japan.

Going to get Seoul City Pass when I arrive at ICN smile.gif

your day 2 just like from after going to serious place than go rich place tongue.gif

busan centum city you may skip out if you don't plan to go luxury shopping.. unless you wanna go try out their spaland. haeundae nothing much to see if you go to the beach now. no plan to go gamcheon or taejongdae?
*
Haha, I plan based on orientation lol hehe...

After Korean war memorial, it is easier to go to Gangnam-gu as it is located immediate southeast of the area haha...

Day 1 since from Seoul station, easier to focus on Nandaemun, Namsan...

Gamcheon or Taejongdae see first smile.gif

day 3 after Gyeongbokgung maybe you can slot in to visit Buckhon Hanok village or Samcheongdong or Insadong. i assume you like to see historical places as many places you go is more towards historical  tongue.gif  than maybe you can visit Cheongwadae or Gwanghwamun or Cheongye stream hehehe
*
Gwanghwamun + Cheongye stream could be included.

Gwanghwamun should be along the way to Gyeongbokgung, while Cheongye stream actually, could be visited even in Day 1 hehehe....especially night.

Bukchon Hanok would be considered, because it's not far at all...

National Museum, good thing on Wednesday is that it will only close at 9 pm.

Thanks for the suggestion smile.gif

Kampung. On day1 from hoeyeon stn (namdaemun), it is just a walking distance to namsan tower.  Myeongdong & namdaemun just side by side. Also walking distance from each others. Namdaemun- pasar pagi. Myeondong- pasar malam
*
Ah, do you mean that the correct sequence is......

Hoehyeon station ----> Namsan tower -------> then the rest? smile.gif

KTX from Seoul-Busan costs only around 48,000won one way. thats like RM150.
u can also opt for Mugunghwa train, equally comfortable seats like KTX but takes 5 hours to reach.
i tried both. enjoyed the rides!
*
Oh, I thought it is 53,300 won (standard) and 74,600 won (first)? smile.gif

I will opt for KTX just for the high-speed aspect of it biggrin.gif

i remember i paid less than 50,000 won/pax last week. but dont really know for the first class wah so rich la you!
KTX runs like 300km/h right? it is indeed fast but cannot beat shinkansen in Japan hehe
*
I am leaning towards standard class as I afraid I may get a single seat, which means I may not be able to sit beside people and talk hmm.gif

I guess I will book standard class...

if nobody sit beside you also the same ma  tongue.gif
1st class is 75200 won, standard price is 53700 won, free seating is 45600 won. price for non stop train Seoul-Busan or vs
*
True also, just that standard class probability is higher to have someone sitting beside me laugh.gif

It is a regular occasion for me to meet new people on plane or train haha...

But then in the case of Japan, it was a bit harder as they don't really speak English.
