Hi, I have a question hope anyone here can help. I planned to install a electric hob and hood in my dry kitchen. The distance of the hob to the back is about 7-8m. Is it effective to install ducting? Or pls advice otherwise. I had already bought the hob and a chimney hood

7-8mm is quite near but the distance has nothing to do with the hood. A ducted hood is always better than non-ducted (recycle)

I read from previous sharing some said its only effective 3-5 meter distance apart. Btw mine is 7-8 meter not mm. So is it still good to have ducted? My concern the hood not enough power to extract the air out

Sorry my bad. IF really 8m, the hood wont be that effective and i believe u might have several bends as well. Best to install a booster in between.

Usually dry kitchen for light cooking can just use recycle hood

I only sell RUbine and Fotile, cant advise on this. I think it is best to call the shop who sold u the items and get the correct info from them and also for the after sales support such as hood installation and extension casing, they should be able to help out

Kitchen HOOD

There are so many brands in the market, Electrolux, Elba, Rubine, Tuscani, Faber, Teka, Fotile, Whirlpool, Rinnai, Cornell, Bosch, Tellini, Lebenstill, Leben, Fujioh, Ikka, Pacific, Pacifica, Vees and many more. So which one of them is the best? Here is a discussion after reading and doing your own research, you decide which is the best.

Most end users will think that a good hood is a hood with strong suction power but that is not 100% true.
A good kitchen hood should have :
1) A good filter system with oil cup
2) Easy to clean & maintain
3) Reasonable strong suction power (1000m3/h and above)
4) Low noise level

1) A good filter system with oil cup

Here is a comparison between aluminum mesh filters vs pyramid shape filters

I will update more info everyday, do not have time to explain everything in one day.

i just bought Celini chimney hood with twin turbo fan 2000m3/h & 45db (RM 3300)...from Ferraz Marketing, Kelana Jaya...guess this model among the best in current market. Initially i looking for Fujioh but after observing few live demo session & considering the price factor with lower spec offered compared to Celini range, i decided to go for Celini. Anybody being using Celini brand currently? Please share ur experience...

Hi..
I noticed that Fotile is quite popular in discussions here. I am planning to buy a chimney hood. I had previously heard explanation from fotile salesperson @homedec 2015 onCHS9007W. I like the air curtain feature and all. Previously been using Zanussi filter brand (mesh) for my apartment.. has anybody here used that model CHS9007W? Is the touch screen feature ok? I'm just worried there might be problems with touchscreen in near future. If not, am considering the EH10BQ..although not the latest...
