QUOTE(tinyi12 @ Jun 15 2023, 08:17 PM) fotile emg9028 and electrolux ECT9750S recirculation hood. electrolux still using mesh filter as the primary filtration, so performance will drop as mesh filters easily get clogged, no photo of their carbon filter but i guess they are using the standard thin type, as compared to FOTILE latest carbon filter is very big, bigger capacity and filtrationWhich one is better? What is unrestrained flow compared with normal airflow? Jus a reminder for recycle hood, DO NOT cover the hood with cabinet This post has been edited by zheilwane: Jun 16 2023, 09:22 AM |

QUOTE(1061109189 @ Jul 2 2023, 10:12 AM) Hi 1) for built in microwave the capacity for each brand is +- same just the method in measuring the capacity is different bcoz from what i know they are using the same rotating plate and the size is 310mm diameter, so no matter what capacity they advertise in catalog, if the plate is 310mm = that is the max size u can fit in.Almost 3 months i study n searchinf rhe brand. Just checked some info online, haven seen actual product. If the oil filtration of the filter is so good, then more oil will get stuck at the filter and this will definitely reduce suction power, if unable to dismantle for cleaning, this will b a big problem.https://shopee.com.my/product/140237634/19371035240 I liked the design, the price also quite good with the specification it provide, got 4D Fresh Non-Disassembly and Wash Free using 4 layers of filtration which is Baffle, Filter, Rectifier Net and Impeller I am thinking on getting this for my kitchen since my kitchen cabinet area is only 8 feet and wanted to maximise most of the space whenever possible Thinking on using the cooker hood together with this cooker hob https://shopee.com.my/product/52664407/8333925339 The cooker hood is 795mm in width and the cooker hob is 750mm in width thus I think it should be okay right More details : https://urbanez.com.my/robam-76h1s-black-ultra-slim-hood ![]() ![]() ![]() The hood is painted, will the paint last bcoz it is so near to the gas top? Majority brands using Glass, so ez to clean and some brands like FUJIOH using their japan tech paint, so confirm no problem. Just need to check what type of paint they are using and any warranty for it. Size wise is ok as long as the hob is smaller than the hood, confirm performance will be good. |

I was told both fotile AMG9007i and JQG9009T can be installed as recirculation hood, so for this do i need to get someone to service them periodically? or it can be done by myself?

This product can use charcoal filter with purchase of additional RM250 but I think the pre built only use the Ducting Hose, not sure on this tho Regarding the paint as per inform by SA - The product does not come with any issues related to heat affecting the paint. - If there are any problems related to heat affecting the paint, the product is not proven to be sold in the market by SIRIM. Asked a buyer on shopee that went to the shop she says the cooker is strong and really quite, no other info able to get from her This week at sunway pyramid friday to sunday ( 7 - 9 july 2023 ) there will be an Expo and Robam will be there, will go there to check and ask further question regarding the dismantling and paint Thank you bro for the insights |

I read the user manual here for the hood : https://my.robamworld.com/uploads/3b5c0841.pdf ![]() ![]() Removal Of Filter ●Long press the low/mid button + lighting button to make the air guide open, then unplug the power supply. ●Remove the screws on the left and right sides of the screen by rotating 90° counterclockwise with a screwdriver against the screw holes. ●Put your fingers into the filter hand holes on both sides, hold the filter and lift it upwards, so that the lower end of the filter can be removed from the slot. Didn't see that the removal of this hood filter that hard, It's possible that the non-disassembly feature is simply a marketing tactic to encourage customers to purchase their product. |

Went to the Home Expo @ Sunway Pyramid yesterday, able to see the Robam 76H1S Slim Cooker Hood in action, the SA says the paint used piano paint ( I think paint that is focused on making the color looks glossy and sleek appearance, they say if the color is white it will never change to yellow ), the cooker had has 6th level, the noise for the 1st level is not noticeable, the noise for 3rd level is noticeable but not loud, the 6th level is quite loud, only going to use till 3rd level for moderate cooking so I am okay, the filter is cleanable easily using wipe cloth, its also able to be dissambled, The hood is painted, will the paint last bcoz it is so near to the gas top? Majority brands using Glass, so ez to clean and some brands like FUJIOH using their japan tech paint, so confirm no problem. During walking around I able to found other cooker with the same pattern of slim that is HAFELE ( german brand ) T SLIM HOOD DC MOTOR ( refer attached image ) this one is super quite cause using DC Silent Motor and it got 9 level of suction, it is bigger than the robam one, and this one cannot be dissasembled, its using glass thus easier to clean outside ![]() ![]() |

Dear all,
For Fotile AMG9007i (refer to photo), recommended installation height is 285mm - 325mm from the surface of the hob. I'm using induction hob so the 50mm pan support height is not required. Installer suggests 300mm but I remember someone here said to go for max allowable. I prefer max allowable to avoid any boiling liquid/oil splashing (imagine the frying process when cooking sambal, for example). Higher height is also good if I should switch to gas hob in future. Q1) should I go for 300mm as suggested by installer, or 325mm (my preference)? Q2) any harm if I go even higher, say 350mm? I understand the higher the hood, the less it smoke it can capture. Thank you. ![]() ![]() |
