Everything same except for REACH and TAPER SEAT. IK20's 19mm vs IT20's 17.5mm. Not sure what is the effect of REACH length..
There's a lot of fake outside, sure that dealer only deals with real stuff?

Risk of something hitting the plugs. Haha..

I'm not sure but no one can really tell if it's original. Just too many variation in market

The best to do trade in is when you change tyre at that shop. If you just go sell like that and with that sidewall damage, chances are very low but then again you might get lucky, RM30-RM50 per pcs also ok.

price list tarak fully syn..
but rm250 very reasonable with gear oil and air filter..

according to pro-tak-care list for 50k km, without the air filter and gear oil ald cost rm250 with semi syn

I think the mechanic is doing the business without the knowledge of his garage, so its not convenient to reveal publicly.
as this before, my car go thru a hole so hard that my front left wheel start to sound, upon checking.. said the bearing broken. He replaced it plus clean and refuel the a/c gas for total of RM120.

Noticed you mentioned PETRONAS FS. Make sure it IS NOT 5W50 coz that's what SC have in stock for FS, not the W40 rated ones. Having a W50 FS might have worst performance than a W40 semi syn.
*
from the 3 time free service at SC, pertronas FS from the SC is definitely perform better than semi syn.

In terms of lube quality and lubricating strength, FS is definitely way ahead of semi (which is almost similar with mineral lube).

Generally the viscosity will be almost the same between both viscosity rating at most time. However as it gets hotter, W50 will maintain thicker lube that provides more load protection in engine with constant high speed runs with high temp.

However thicker fluids also has a trade off, since the higher the viscosity, the more drag at bearing, etc thus more potential power loss or worse FC. So while W50 FS quality trumped over the W40 semi, the viscosity difference will even each other benefits out when compared if you used the FS for 10K. W50 will put more than necessary burden on the bearing, etc for our PE thus IMO, not recommended even if it is FS.

Our PE engine runs really hot but its won't reach the level that it needed 5W50 (yet) unless you really maintain 160km/h constantly in most of your drive. Thus using W40 is a much better trade off for PE's performance and FC.

Or you can put it this way, if you switch to 5W40 FS now (if you're on 5W50), your car will feel EVEN MORE lighter thus much more powerful. Whats more, they're usually at same price range.

Unfortunately I also understand SC only have 5W50 FS. Once warranty over, you go switch to W40 FS, the performance difference will be very noticeable.

On side note, PETRONAS Semi is really quite shitty in all aspect, so using FS, even that W50 definitely seems improved in performance. However when compared PETRONAS FS at W50 vs lets say Caltex Havoline semi at W40, the FS improvement will be much much lesser.

A lot of Proton SC have Synthium 3000, 5000 and Shell Helix Ultra in the range of 5W-40

In turns out I only see PETRONAS W50 rated FS for SC I go including HQ. If SC using other than Syntium, then sure got W40 FS.

thanks for the explanation. will try it for my next service.

anyway, till now i still stick with petronas EO, any other EO u guys recommend?
i normally drive 110-130 at town / highway. but 160-175 at NSE.
most of time, will accelerate.. coz in hurry. dun wan to waste time in traffic.
as for FC, i always vroom2, so it roughly at 23cents to 25cents per km.

Dear Sifu's,

I'm owner of persona. Any idea or steps on how to change the front headlight bulb?

Wanna replace my existing burned bulb, but couldn't take it out at all.
There is a metal pin holding it.

Thanks.
