whose persona/PE (manual) are more than 120K mileage here?

Can u share what MAJOR parts have u changed?
on my side, major stuff ive only changed were timing belts & brake discs. To be changed next week - absorbers.

Im scared if i havent changed something n ma car broke down by the time im broke. >_<

I'm still wondering, why the heck you guys want to change to different gear oil brand when either the SP3 or even the better XP3 is doing a good job already.

Most under the tree mechanics usually says this oil can use, that oil can use. Most likely those oils CAN be used BUT what is left unsaid is that it also might be shorten life span, miniscule damage due to different specs, etc. Nobody knows if it will happen now or later or even happen at all. That's why I prefer to use back stock oil unless the NEW oil is proven to give a noticeable increase in performance with minimal or even better no repercussion later.

My mechanic even say City iridium spec can be used in PE. Sure can use but I'm having doubt if it will be provide smooth perfect ignition, size or even having long term performance hit or what. No.....I would not trust everything a mechanic says.

IZFR6K13 kuah....not familiar with spark plug so don't want try.

From Denso list and web, the alternative is IK-20. Thus I doubt it will perform perfectly as IT-20 that was meant for our engine. My mechanic insist can use.....say all plugs same one.....

Anyone know a reliable supplier for ORIGINAL denso plugs? Not urgent coz still got 15K to go b4 changing but I always like to buy in advance so no need urgently search later. Might be opting to use back the 30K mileage IT20 performance plug or VT20 for long life version if price is right.

Everything same except for REACH and TAPER SEAT. IK20's 19mm vs IT20's 17.5mm. Not sure what is the effect of REACH length..
There's a lot of fake outside, sure that dealer only deals with real stuff?

Right now Preve is top of the list but just a few more "research' needs to be done..

The overall running cost compare to Persona... of course it is bound to be higher, higher segment and more comfortable but just of course to make sure the rm25k extra does justify of the overall value you received. 1 more thing Persona is in my mind because it is a matured model all issues and workarounds are known of as of today.

Hmmm... wondering how is the Preve EXEC FC vs the Persona's too...

1 being heavier but with CVT, 1 being lighter but without CVT...

Does that means CFE boosted torque actually increased FC at heavy traffic vs the iafm version?

What abt low end pickup at heavy traffic, which is better, iafm or CFE?

I test driven the Suprima and that noise level is decent.. which I hope new batch Preve will be at least on par....

urs is not VT3+? the first time driving manlet's preve, not used to the gb sound when it comes to engine braking.

just encountered the most epic problem of my sv:

after reached home, turn off ignition and switch off a/c.

then went to do my stuff. 5 - 10 mins later. I heard kind loud noise from outside from the car porch, the noise from my car!!!

I nearly freaked out when I heard it, it's not the engine running. I think it's the a/c compressor. then i got my key and quickly wanna get the car start back.

when i opened the door, the noise stopped, everything off. Then i felt heat in my car when my head go in. Then started back the car turn on the a/c, everything no prob...

really dont know what's the issue here, could it be electronic tripped?? or something else?

btw, i use a/c always in the minimum for the blower, and temp always in 30c

We got two ex owners who also got Preve later, mengsuan and Manlet but they all sudah MIA sini.

... The PIAA Aero Vogue wipers I was talking about does wipe really well. The problem is that the lower part of the right blade seems to be suffering from juddering when there is water on the screen, and when it gets drier the problem disappears mostly or completely. I'm not really sure if it's the wiper's problem, or rather something that's wrong with the wiper system (motor, linkage etc). I did note that the juddering problem happened even with the previous Bosch AeroTwin wipers though, so it may not be related to the wipers themselves. The wipers also get stuck momentarily on the screen upon increasing or decreasing the wiper's speed (problem there since I first got the car).

Any ideas on this? If it's related to the blades I'd want to get them replaced within the 1 week guarantee period. I have already gotten a new right wiper arm (left one is too long ), but the problem's still there. I was quoted RM55 for the linkage. I have no idea on the motor's price .

So far after owning the car for 2 years, I just discovered recently that unlocking the car and then opening only the rear doors (maybe front left passenger also, not sure) does not trigger the "door opened" signal and thus the car actually locks itself again after 30 seconds. Luckily my alarm didn't go off just now while I was loading stuff into the car .
