Guys, just to confirm...

How long is the warranty given for its brake system? Does the 2-year/50,000km warranty covers it?

Suspecting the front disc rotor needs to be changed and hopefully it's at max the rotor and not the caliper issue - slight vibration during braking.

Preve ANCAP of course...if budget allows
*
Right now Preve is top of the list but just a few more "research' needs to be done..

The overall running cost compare to Persona... of course it is bound to be higher, higher segment and more comfortable but just of course to make sure the rm25k extra does justify of the overall value you received. 1 more thing Persona is in my mind because it is a matured model all issues and workarounds are known of as of today.

Hmmm... wondering how is the Preve EXEC FC vs the Persona's too...

1 being heavier but with CVT, 1 being lighter but without CVT...

What's higher cost on Preve CFE is fuel and maintenance. Preve Exec (without turbo) has better fuel efficiency all round, although the sheer driving fun is not there. I've seen people posting 700KM per tank with Preve Exec, but you cannot achieve that with Preve CFE. Especially with CFE's lower compression engine (as requirement for turbo engine with ordinary RON95 fuel), fuel consumption suffers at traffic as efficiency is reduced.

Persona being lighter swifter, uses less fuel than Preve CFE and takes corner like a boss. Preve handling is good too but just feels heavier with the stiffer than average feeling (feeling approximation when cornering at 130-140km/h). Both does cruising near 170KM/h like a boss, with Preve leading better in comfort.

Preve wins hands down in safety. The airbag, braking system and ESC. Too good.
*
I actually most worried is Preve EXEC would suffer in day-to-day city driving.

Being a heavy machine, its weight-to-power ratio does not look on the good side from how I look at it so I thought CFE's FC should be around the same or could be slightly better although it's a turbocharged engine.

Look like I am wrong here.

How about Preve EXEC vs PE's in term of FC?

Preve Exec is priced at RM62K which is actually pretty worth considering it has all those safety features but I wouldn't want to suffer with a superb underpowered car given its weight that at the same time may result in higher fuel consumption.

nola mate.. I won't be getting Preve LE .. it is not economical ..

Preve Premium ... or Preve Exec.. but I won't put my money unless I can confirm my requirements are met.... esp. if I can test drive or at least sit on it....

Most SA are so blur on what the actual spec of the car is.... when I asked about VT3+... noise.. . all rclxub.gif

hi guys,

My sister just finished her study and going to work soon. We want to get her a Persona...before that, I would like to collect some info about this car...any sifu here got any pros and cons can share with me? or experience? major problems?

Thanks in advance~~=)
*
Except those minor minor issues listed in the first page. This is generally a problem-free car to be exact.

Easy to maintain and definitely not expensive. Spacious and definitely good to drive on the highway. Town driving I will say generally not bad. Is an all-rounder car that you can think of.

Generally girls may like Myvi more but if they could drive both I am sure Persona would get a much upper hand unless size is her concern.

Is a 4-star ANCAP btw smile.gif

thanks for your reply... coz now we are choosing between Saga FLX SE and Persona SV ....family already got one myvi, and need a sedan in house..in case anything, since my forte always in KL...
*
Just go for the Persona SV if I were to say

- Bigger boot
- Nicer design that can last you for more years to come
- 2 airbags (not sure about the FLX SE has 1 or 2)
- 4 disc brakes + ABS + EBD (These are the built-in features that you just can't add on if you car doesn't have)
- Rear multi-link suspension
- Overall much better handling (Handling by Lotus)
- Comfortable Ride
- I think it is generally a much much stable and problem free car compare to the Saga FLX.

By the way, FLX's CVT is pretty noisy ....
Persona Std 4AT Torque converter is actually okay and for a car at this size that weight at almost 1200kg... its FC is actually in the efficient side...

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jan 20 2014, 08:39 AM)
Reading this quote can be a bit misleading. It gives an impression of good FC. I would have to say PE has lousy FC especially for City driving. Highway speed of 110km/h, then its ok.

If you have a equal mix of highway driving at over 100km/h and city driving, then its ok but if 80-90% city driving, prepare to pay high price for FC.
*
Depends on how you categorize a lousy, efficient and superb-save FC...
It can be pretty subjective though and again it depends on your right foot.

I believe they add some and cut some.. although they added the important one which is good so it's still super value
