When was the last time you have had the accessory belt and/or tensioner replaced? What is your car's mileage?

check ur brake pad first. then look for other parts.
Look at the pad, is it thin or still thick.

brake pad got indicator will cause the screeching sound when it is already thin..

Brake pad thin will give screeching sound even the car moving around? Only apply at driver side the sound.

it will make the cit cit sound even the car moving cause the brake pad indicator touching the disc.

The brake pad on driver side usually wear more compare to passenger side.
i not sure how to explain this. hmm.gif

u need to take out the driver side wheel only can check the brake pad left how much.

if wheel bearing , u will hear humming sound which is different sound from brake pad.

What rims are your Persona using? If it's the alloy wheels you should be able to see the brake pads easily.

How loud was the screeching sound? Did it start off very loudly before reducing a little and then rise again before disappearing? The FEAD belt tensioner is just right beside the front right wheel, so it may be from it.. I don't personally think that the brake pads will create such a sound especially when not being applied.

Wah really, our car air cond control module electronic one, quite canggih. The air circulation also electronic not reliable like old car mechanically change the circulation. I very like the fan speed control, not like cheap car that only has 1,2,3,4.  But still my aircon control module still in normal behavior.  nod.gif
*
My temp control i seldom adjust, keep at middle. Unless very hot day, or fetch ppl (normally i drive alone) i will adjust it. Normally i adjust the fan speed control (turn to on, turn to off). But then......... since a year ago, it started to become crazy, especially when i put it at 1, or not on at all, the air cond will on-off-on by itself sometimes. I suspect its the knob problem, intermittent problem maybe?

My car brake got screeching sound since around 6m.o. Everytime go service, ask them to check, what i get is "your brake pad still ok, very thick".
But i really dont know why the sound is there. I asked my other fren diriving persona, his reply "mine already has sounds like that almost from the beginning"
So, any ideas? Its annoying. And it causes ppl to turn their head when i brake. mad.gif

I usually keep at 30c only, cool enough already.

What did you mean air cond on-off by itself? You mean the compressor sound on-off? or the blower on-off itself? hmm.gif

I'm not sure which is the compressor sound you are referring to, but i think the answer to your question is the blower. coz i can feel air when it happens. blush.gif

Uhh.. maybe i'll rephrase..
What i meant was.. the on-off-on-off was accompanied by air-no air-air-no air..
How i know its on, the light indicator in the middle of the fan control switches on and off
Normally the light will only switch on if the fan is on PLUS when u choose cooling (air cond) (i normally dont adjust that)
So when the on-off-on-off happens, the light is going on-off-on-off plus air-no air-air-no air too...
