The fiasco with Cardiff, where VT is both lauded and derided, I can only conclude that whatever happens in boardroom should stay there and not affect the team. Personally I felt that VT has an ego bigger than his head, some things are best kept private, instead he need his director to issue statement of unhappiness, and let the whole world knows that there will be no monies for reinforcement, which I find a bit like hanging dirty laundry in the public. The counter argument is of course the need to balance the book, but I am sure there is a proper channel to do that. All in all, I don't think this public spat is helpful to both the manager, team and supporter...and it is up to us to exploit, and if we do wat we did to Spurds, its high likely we are looking at the axe for Mackay too...

Against Cardiff, I really hope to see new faces in the 1st eleven, players such as Albertto & Aspas...no disrespect to Cardiff, but this is the type of match where you'll want to see some rotation to freshen the squad with impending matches against Chelski and Sitty. Would be great too if we can sub Suarez, whatnot after what happened to Aguero and RVP.....in this case just my negative tot. Having said this, the match against Cardiff is anything but easy, with Frazier Campbell, Medel and ex-reds Bellamy, they can cause us problems, and in defense they have some pretty decent players in Caulkner and Whittingham...I wuld say bring them on, and lets have a game of decent soccer...

Am delighted with the news that LS signed the contract extension. THis must be the 2nd Xmas gift to all red fa0ns throughout the world. Must say I am impressed by Ayre for his effectiveness in getting things done, and a dedication to FSG - Werner and Henry for their class, determination and ambition shown throughout their ownership, smart owners both! I thot they should be commended, coming from the other part of the world where the play is known as soccer, they havent done much wrong do they....managing the club with quiet effectiveness and ruthless efficiency, unlike certain clubs with deluded clown for an owner - chelski, Newcastle, and spurds included....They have so far manage liverpool with the dignity befit one of the most successful club in England. I would've shuddered at the thought of Vincent Tan taking over Liverpool and change its color to blue.....err...wait he wanted the other way around. And i read with glee and laugh so hard my neighbour tot i went berserk, one of the comment says that VT should sack Mackay..and hire najib....since everything rise with najib -petrol, electricity tariff, assessment fee... will rise, rise and rise, guarantee Cardiff will rise up the table...hahahahha

I thot it was nice gesture by BR, his support for Mackay, from his interview, his post-match support, and even the match itself. The team definitely step off the gas in the 2nd half...and I personally felt that no point demolishing a Cardiff side, and basically 3 goals is already a comprehensive win, all achieved in the 1st half.

Talk about the 1st half, the type of football we play, its brilliant. Our one touch football is penetrative and some of the flicks are 'to the feet' accuracy. The triangle play is with purpose, and we basically control our penetration, waiting for the right time and right runs by players. Each time we attack there are at least 2-3 players inside the box, and 2-3 more waiting outside, this is essentially how to control attacking football should be played...Our attack is so fluid, that at one time 2 to 3 players could be making a run to pull defenders away..in a way, the 1st half, the way I saw it was we strangled Cardiff to a slow death and we are doing it with a certain control.. And in the 2nd half, I am just as curious why Flanagan was taken off..and then Agger for Coutinho....the only possible reason I can think of is becos Cardiff is bombarding our 6yards with highballs..but why 3 CD, that you have to ask BR...but my gut feeling is telling me that Shitty and Chelski had their scouts in the match yesterday..as such it is need less to preview or give away anything about how we play, to keep an element of surprise, and the cards are safely in BR's chest...

We might well missed Flanagan, with his tenacity and youthful stamina, given that he is out to prove himself, he is playing on andrenaline....but we know that when andrenaline ran out, he is now injured...which leave only Johnson as the option on left and Kelly on right...or alternative is, Hendo on the right, which basically stifle any attack on the right channel, and unleash Alberto to form the midfield trio...

I dont expect BR to play Aspas, or twin striker, together with Suarez, we are afterall playing away...but my gut feeling is Moses might feature instead of Alberto...If that turns out to be true, then lets hope Moses give a better account for himself and help his parent club Chelski get points off Shitty...And with their defensive vulnerability, they are just as nervous facing Suarez & Co....

If i am BR, I would hit them early in the 1st half, and go on defensive mode in the 2nd half...and towards final quarter, play counter attacking football to sucker punch them...

It is a match that reflected 2 top teams in England, in a hugely entertaining and open game of attacking football. Never mind that the value of this Shitty team is almost twice of ours and that the Etihad was turn into a cauldron since Mancini's time there...our boys just go there and play their game. The attacking trio of Sterling, Suarez and Cout was excellent as they are telepathic, complemented by a technically good and willing midfield trio.

In the end, we came undone by a linesman who decide he wanted the attention for the wrong reason...Can certainly see where BR is coming from when he lashes out at Lee Mason who also gone with the linesman decision to flagged off side when Sterling make his run with at least 2 yards of space...The blunder by our keeper doesn't help either as Negredo's shot was devoid of power and placement.

In the end, its really bittersweet this match..bitter we didn't get more out of the match, sweet knowing the boys tried

The amount of repetition by some fans is seriously tiring and not to mention their negativity also feed others, who recycled their junk for a rhetorics....I agree that had they bother to look in finer details, they wouldve notice the changes happening to the team, from team play, to how the club is being manage. AS it stand, they still write with intent to embarass themselves, there's nothing a fellow kopite can do for some of their lack of awareness.

I support what BR said about the refereeing and i did mentioned earlier, if the linesman decide to turn hero, the spot light should be directed to him..its his call, he should live with it...BR merely point the direction where the spotlight, i felt nothing wrong with that....btw its my pet peeves, especially linesman to make the call - for penalty, or very bad line call....Altho I am critical of lee mason too, but decisions good or bad, they even out but never decide the title or league position, dont they...

If our prev squad is thin, now is even thinner without VM...just wish the backup are ready when call upon..could it be the same 1st eleven against city? maybe...but i hope BR would rotate a lil....as I felt Sakho already feeling the strain...a fit and top defender dont lose focus towards the final minutes...

Its the best performance for this season, tongue in cheek comment by BR, but its actually true. This coming off Hulls demolition of Fulham, this result altho is expected but should not be taken lightly. As for Cisoko, he hasn't really perform to the level of Flanagan, this is also reflected in the pecking order, but still he is part of the defence that kept a clean sheet yesterday - defensively I tot he did ok but offers nothing more in attack...Still Hull have 0 shot on target, which tells a lot about the amount of work done by our defense and midfield

As for Hendo, he was at his industrious best, full of running just like Forest Gump..the amount of tracking back he did was incredible..not to mention his delicate chip for Cout nearly brought a goal...of course he cant hide the fact that he missed a sitter, right in front of goal

BTW, the smile on BR's and Suarez face towards the end - is in response to KOP chants - WHat is that? after Suarez balloon his free kick...dry humor perhaps, probably reflect the mood around Anfield - jolly good time..

From a commercial standpoint, the transfers or 'investment' made is relatively moderate and reasonable, if you consider Hazard cost 30miilion, and Willian cost about 25million respectively. For a club such as Liverpool, it is a small amount, in view of the expectation and demand from fans globally. This I think also in line with what FSG set out, which is invest in potential at the right equilibrium price, just like any investment, the rule of the game is buy low/moderate, sell high...ofcos we are not in the business of selling, but football being a result oriented business, your stock rise base on results just like what Suarez's did, produce result.

Again, its very much depend on how and what the manager wanted to achieve with a set of given budget. If the owners said that he can have 150million but must produce the title in the 1st season, then ppl like Mourinho will invest in 2-3 players, and if result doesn't come, its the manager who take the fall. Which is the reason why Moaninho is the fall guy when RM couldn't come near Barca. Big signings unfortunately is not our name of the game, this is a fact.

From my POV - BR is merely spreading his investment over a course, which fortunately yield some pretty exciting talents in Sturij, Cout. In the process, he also manage to mould & educate players like Sterling and Hendo into good prospect, this for me is double bonus. As for Asaidi, his investment is peanuts, but we are not so sure whether he is monkey, his performance in recent matches suggest otherwise. For Aspas, I think its too early to calculate his 'ROI' especially in the 1st year or for any investment, gains only accumulate in the 2nd year onwards. All in all, it is expected to happen to any manager, there will bound to be 1 or 2 turkey signings - but I must say, I have yet to witness any so far, the closes might be Aspas..

The appointment of BR to succeed KK earlier was met with mixed reaction, on one hand we got an untested manager, and some may say not high profile or not big club manager. The appointment of BR is also a statement by FSG, that they wanted to rebuild the team, and time is something they can afford to give BR, it is no secret. As such, Henry and Werner will evaluate the team progress on yearly basis and will budget for spending according to team's requirement and level of progress made each season.

The situation with manure is a bit peculiar...where they offered DM a 6 year contract - which denote continuity, which means they expect DM to be given the time to rebuild or restructure the team..but given their stature in the BPL, I don't think he can afford too much time...nor do I think he will get too much transfer budget to work with as fergie found out, and why the sudden departure...another reason why DM was selected, is probably becos he is one of the longest serving manager in the bpl - bar Wenger...In terms of BPL experience, he is the best man, altho not necessarily best manager. The other manager is Pardew with 4 years experience @ Newcastle...of course they have the option of getting a foreign manager such as Hiddink, or Ancelloti, or at one time Mouninho...but I don't think manure can lure the latter 2's, and Hiddink is never a long term manager...as such the combination of lack of candidates available & lack experience in bpl contribute to the appointment of DM...who in fairness is a solid manager..lest not forget that DM with shoestring budget is able to mould everton to challenge for top 4, in itself is an achievement...if anything, I personally think that some manure players lack motivation, either been there for too long or take things easy, either way, they have a better successor than us with souness...

Normally, I would prefer 1 signing during the Jan window, especially when availability and choice is limited to a certain extent. But the catch is its World Cup year..as such either you sign the player before they go for national duty or its going to be inflated after WC, that is if they shine...clubs will also hold back hoping to sell at higher valuation after WC, especially Latin clubs that are dependent on selling to balance the book...the good thing is Salah's country- Eqypt did not qualify for WC, but his stock rises recently with lotsa attentions and I just feel that Liverpool would walk away from this deal, as we prefer to go about our business quietly...having said this, I would welcome Salah with an open arm, what not with a player openly declare his intention to join us...but only at the right price

Sturij mentioned that he was scouted or at least monitored by BR when he was 16 yo...it was a game MC vs Chelski...not surprising as BR was the youth coach then under Moan...if so, i am pretty sure that BR will have his network and database of youth players, that he think can fit into red squad...in a way its a blessing..we are not noted for signing successful youth players -from Houllier to Rafa..most if not all sunk into oblivion..the closes we had was Ngog, which we sold for good profit...and I do agree, i saw great potential in him, from physique to technique, Ngog is not bad at all...in comparison to David Bellion who cost manure 7million, i would choose the former anytime...but reality is Ngog (79 appearance/13 goals) Bellion ( 120 appearance/20 goals for Bolton and Bordeaux respectively....with the latter now with Nice on loan with 10 appearance/ 0 goals....Its never easy with youth player -Ngog was a star for France under-16 but never realized his potential...so were Pongolle and La Tallec...in a way i am really please with Sterling's progressed this season..I am one of his critic, but based on his performance, I must chow the humble pie...having said this, i do hope that BR can manage him properly, as he is afterall still a boy in a man's game...it never good to overexposed a youth player..and if we mange to land Salah, then i'd thnk we are one of the younger squad if not youngest in the BPL..the future looks good tho...

Like what they said, just goog it...i cant believe i manage to find so many meanings to sore loser below are some excerpt:

1) Some one who loses in a fair debate but whine about it on constant basis, blaming everyone around for not agreeing to their point of view

2) Sore loser is someone who cant be honorable by accepting the opines of the majority, on contrary said the individual or group engage in childish pissing and moaning, b****ing about how he is unfairly castigated

3) Someone who can take facts in stride

4) Someone who loses the plot in a discussion and instead tries to change the rules or subject to their advantage once evident they are proven wrong

5) An Odd man out, who seek out less graceful means of expressing their dissatisfaction

The above is a sore loser guide, know a sore loser when you see one...dont be a sore loser...ohh..and dont respond if you are not a sore loser
