We may not win the league and honestly we shouldn't win it on paper. But this season presents a rare opportunity because all the top clubs are going through changes. City and the mancs have new managers, Chelsea are struggling to produce their best football, Spurs just sacked AVB and that leaves Arsenal who like us didn't go through drastic changes over the summer. It's not so much with us making tremendous leaps (tho we have been making great progress) but more towards the other clubs dropping their standards due to instabilities and etc.
Obviously there's still a lot of football left to play and it's asking a lot for the team to maintain their form. But the team must realize that the other tops clubs have really done us a favor by dropping points every now and then. In a way, the situation is similar to when Rafa's Valencia won the league twice when both Barca and Real were going through major structure changes. This doesn't happen often and the team must realize that they need to capitalize from it.
yes rare opportunity indeed esp several big clubs in transition (manager).
on paper to me, city & chelsea has the best squad
overall. in theory either one should run away with it.
I have conveyed my thoughts (to my chelsea friend, a die hard kaki) on WHY Chelsea seems to be struggling (a-wee bit) with jose. (he has been there at chelsea before, therefor no bedding in process).
My guess is jose is stubborn to to utilise the "form squad" (i.e. that won a trophy & finished strongly in the league last season esp after struggling for 6 months under a certain mr likeable italian guy & got replaced by an interim one) because perhaps jose is such a
special one who cannot take taunts "You won it with the interim manager's squad"

(jibe). Jose seems to not pick (first 11) couple of notable players who spoke glowingly of the interim before. [speculation saja]
Anyway.
Lets hope both arsenal & chelsea be at each other's neck. And liverpoolfc continue our path to secure a champions league placement. (our priority). anything more is a bonus
