Open Disk Utility, select disk that contains OS that you use (e.g: Macintosh HD) and then click First Aid tab. Under First Aid you can:

Verify Disk Permissions
Repair Disk Permissions
Verify Disk
Repair Disk

Have u tried to force quit the problematic app?

Then force quit the Finder by relaunching?

Have u tried to switch off the mac then restarting?

Some easily done task if haven't tried yet..

P.s. One of the USB was being quirky before. Tried a lot of stuff then finally I switch the rMBP. It was all good after that.

All the best..

Try creating a new user account in System Preferences. See if you have the same problem with the new account.

And I wonder is there any way to boost up the battery life of my MBP when I'm running Windows?
I have only like 3 hours battery life on Windows but 11+ hours on OS X.

It's will be like that since that how "virtualization" work in between bootcamp(windows) + mac (osx). Plug in your mbp if you want to bootcamp smile.gif

If you're still interested in going at it, trace the Facetime log and paste it here. Here's how to find your logs.

Hi,

I'm looking for a monitor to connect to my 15" macbook pro retina.

Preferably at least 27".

Any recommendations? Other than the thunderbolt display of course.

Thanks!
