You know what I want in all macbooks ? Dedicated graphic cards.
*
Now only left with one and only one model of MacBook that comes with dedicated graphic which is highest spec 15-inch rMBP. I think in long run, apple is not going to make dedicated graphic available as they seems to be focused on having a good default integrated graphic from Intel. U can see that the Intel iris or iris pro graphic are rather good as compare to any other manufacturer one.

Dedicated graphic is good for gaming for sure and it is required for gaming, but for video editing etc, iris pro is actually good enough too.

Most importantly, the dedicated graphic card is a battery drain monster.

My MacBook mid 2015 15-inch rmbp the battery cycle is 110 with just 5 months of usage, that is really high ridiculously.

I got a two macbook pro non retina (given to my family members),
- one can replace battery easily without back cover (early 2008 model, 15 inch model), still working but battery swollen, only can use with AC adapter plug in.

- 2nd one can replace battery, but need to open back cover, long battery type with the hdd next to it, still working, but change the battery twice already. (should be late 2008 model, 15 inch model)

But is for normal daily usage only, like web browsing, itunes, watching movie etc. No heavy intensive usage.

Pretty good overall for the MBP life span.

Yup, bought original from Apple, gave me 3 months warranty for the battery.
But nowadays mostly use with ac adapter, don't want to buy new battery already.

possible, sure will rise by then, it has risen three times in 2015.

one time is less than a month before GST, one time is after GST, one time is in oct. total 3 times price hike.. rclxub.gif

oct that time, comparative 12-inch MacBook pricing, Malaysia saw a 24 percent increase with base models now selling for 5,899 Malaysian ringgits, up from 4,769 ringgits.

I personally see the new model of rMBP mostly is a cosmetic update, spec wise will be marginal compare to current model. Price wise, I feel it will be going even more steeper.

For those mbp can do self replace battery (without using tools to open the cover), those batteries are available at Apple Store years ago. But since Apple no longer offer those self-replaceable battery mbp model, battery no longer available for purchase in Apple Store.

That's why I am thinking whether to get the current rMBP than the possible price hike new rMBP given IF is a marginal update of specs. Price, specs is still under speculating now. yawn.gif
