I am just a small collector but trade sometimes to get those cute/awesome cour/item

Although we have a dota discussion thread, but I think it is better to separate DOta2 in-game discussion with dota2 cosmetics.

the purpose of this thread is to :

- price check on latest item's value (of coz not those really fixed value item value check )

- discuss about the current market value of certain items

- discussion on certain changes that volvo did that will affect the market

- predict the market (this is the fun part)

- some raffle to be held from any member just for fun or to share the love

- and more


Just wanted a better trade community for dota2, thats all

Valve says nothing about what it does, and I have read that it has start to count for the night wrath mission.
Will more count means anything? exchangeable into items? or it is just another stranger counter?

and regarding foulfell shard, I have no idea why is that gem even on items when most of the heroes that wear it, arent even in WN lol.
its like you have to unsocket it then put it into one of the few heroes available.

but really, the wraith recipe and ossuary contents, I honestly thought it would be damn expensive to get, since you've have to grind 5000 for the recipe, then another 5 frozen items from 2000 phantom frags each.

But all really cheap in the end, guess too many and too easy to get?

I think ppl abuse the bug and end up with tons of frags floating in the market... I didnt know there will be a TerrorBlade event coming

My estimate would be between 1000 - 1500 keys but it seems ppl in the market prefer couriers than keys

the spread is quite high(as in ask price and bid price difference). so yea, around 1200 plus minus there.
saw someone willing to let go at 2btc also. now bitcoin value dropped though.

But i prefer courier more
and i still havent complete my Ti2 cour set collection

as for ti3 cour

a lot of traders are very convinced that Ti3 cour will rise in value because the value now is so low due to winter sale and xmas.
well, they are immortals, logically if dota2 keeps getting more and more player.. the value will just rise instead of dropping for long term.

No one knows for sure.... It seems like the price for TI3 couriers remain stagnant since these past few months... But people still value immortal value... So hard to say... It wont rise much unless Volvo separate it again differentiating those obtained from secret shop and unbox couriers...

Yeap have to agree with that... Couriers can be used by everyone whereas sets are only applicable to those who favor that certain hero, in this case ursa... I think this set are mostly wanted by collectors only and not all players.. Demand is definitely lower compared to TI2 couriers

Then comes the actual demand for the set.
I mean, srsly, u pay that much for a ursa set.
Retrade value and potential buyers reduce when you have such a high priced item.
Trying to get back your money or profit abit is bad enough, try finding another person who actually wants it or willing.

It will be traders who wanna "catch and release" ASAP, but its the collectors who just want it for sake of ego and to show off.
Its very hard to deal with these beyond expensive items.

Everyone thinks the same. Get a few if you want, but don't hold your breath on more.

If you buy just a few sets, at worst you break even. No point putting all eggs in one basket especially with the prospects of MORE sets coming out, particularly for popular heroes.

I'm just gonna save moneh and wait for TI4. See how it goes, if I can snag a ticket then hello Seattle.

the worthy sets are most likely the mirana, pudge and windrunner featherfall.

Others I dont see a reason to get them unless you really fancy those heroes.

Well, we are happy with the discount, valve is even happier. Damn... The store sales must be insane and most likely targeted at small time traders which will eventually buy sets they want

Yea, the quantity is insane. Most of my friends who initially dont buy sets tend to buy the mirana, windrunner, couriers, etc etc. Crazy I must say.

Now every year, can wait for potential year end sale again.
Dont think its worth investing on buying these sets for resell, since new ones always coming out and these sets just fade off later in time in future sales, they'll be too easy to get.

unless u are into fps, then not a game for u lol.
But they used same business model, skin customization and personalisation market to keep this game relevant, despite being a 7 yold game.
Same thing for dota, game will last quite long on its own with minimal maintenance on gameplay, despite what ever custom mods they add in.

They changed the art at some point. This is based on the first demon edge (which was orange).

Normally will convert keys etc to monetary value or vice versa to see which is more worth it

In terms of cosmetic value, I think Drodo wins Garran anytime with its new aura.. Furthermore its immortal and couldnt obtain anymore... Unless valve decides to make Garran Immortal as well and stop selling them in microplushies
