Would you consider locking it and starting a new thread for every month? It's kinda hard finding recent trades. A new thread per month would solve that problem.

If you want to find something, you can use the search topic function. If you want to keep posting at every page like it was before, I think its more efficient to just open a sales thread in Garage Sales. Since its a Sales thread, you can list all your items there and put a link in your signature.

If you think its plain stupid then dont use it. If its stupid why not giving some ideas instead of just judging it. No one is forcing you to use that method. Ive already suggested few methods in my earlier post.

Sales thread are not even suppose to exist within Gamers Hideout Section. I can remove it completely and direct everything to Garage Sales if you guys prefer it.

Sorry but the moderating team has decided not to use the old format. That was the decision made before it was changed to current format.

they do that to prevent spamming ,and what if they give us back the old rules? They dint gain any profit from that .

yup, no one is forcing anyone to use that method. its just that i bought from many buyers here, so i use, problem?

but the moderating "team", which could be one man, wild speculation, enforces stupid rules that kill all of the activities and flexibility of the trades

if removing the whole thread to garage sales could remove the stupid post count thing, i dont mind, and i am sure that majority of us dont mind

Nice to know that you can give good inputs here instead of a plain bold statement with nothing to contribute to the issue. Im open for discussion and Im listening and replying to suggestions instead of people telling me the rules are stupid.

So onto the issue. If you guys want to move it to the garage sales, I can do that and you guys can post all you want.

Just my 2 cents here:

The forum search function is close to useless. Most of the time I can't even find sellers who have what I want (re: Surface accessories) because the thread titles don't match up and sometimes I don't even know the exact terms they're using so the results won't lead to their sales threads. A lot of the results are actually old threads from years back from retired sellers. Nobody can even use the search members function because some higher up disabled it to find reputable sellers from referrals. The best that can be done is to use the general search function to find the members and even that is a hit and miss if they're not active posters. I had to find my SP and Cover by word of mouth from other Surface users. It's gonna be even worse for digital items with obscure names. I've seen people asking to buy keys from dead 2012 threads...

My suggestion is that a moderated thread be set up that is either pruned every now and then (users can edit their original posts to indicate that they're done/sales are completed and then have the post deleted) or the setting up of a monthly sales thread with the same current rules but is locked at the end of every month, and restarted again in a new thread so that only the latest trades are listed. I mean it helps your users and also gets you more page views for the forum's ads, because the trades are relevant and up to date (and the most active users can keep posting their wares every month and expect to get a response instead of being ignored) which leads to more revenue for the site. Win win situation for everyone.

if you can open a pinned post for dota 2 trading at the garage sales then it would be perfect...that was exactly what i wanted to suggest...but i think certain rules must still be kept such as 1 post per page etc to avoid people spamming their trade...

I think you are confused with the forum search function and the topic search function. I mentioned topic search function. Its two different function. One searches the whole sub-forum (includes all topics/threads) and another only searches one particular topic/thread. In this case the Dota 2 Trading Thread. I have already explained the function in my first post if you didnt notice/read all of it which I think its the case since you didnt know about it.

Your first suggestion takes too much time and effort to handle. However your second idea can be considered. But I would still prefer moving it to the garage sales since the Thread is sales related and people can post their items there.

Once we get few more suggestions, Ill open a poll for votes

Sad to say it cant be pinned in Garage Sales. Instruction from the admins. We can keep the rules and you guys can help to report if there are any violations.

Got another set I think will be the face the same fate later, the Meepo's Dosa set. These sets I heard can only get by Korean players during certain time at certain CC. But Meepo's set haven't available yet.

when it just got released, people sell them for 3-5keys also no1 want to buy...now only people start buying them...do u have link to the news? i want to see the set
