I'm looking for a new smartphone as i just bricked my old cellphone samsung galaxy 2. Recycled the phone and gave all my oem batteris and an mpj extended battery to a friend so now I in need of a new phone. My budget is around $200 so I plan to have a china cellphone cuz i think it has lower price with high performace. Thinking of huawei hornor 3c...Anyone share real world experiences of this phone please? Whether better than my old s2 in performace? Million thanks.

Huawei Honor 3C is definitely a different device from Samsung's device. But the launch date is unknown yet.

82 is a revise from 89, slight bump in speed.

Currently its only available for online order only. Seems like honor is following xiaomi footstep to release phone online only for the moment after branching off from hua wei.

according to china price, this 2gb phone will price below RM700.
bigger battery than Huawei G700. better camera. dual sim.
it's been a month now but still no news of launch in Malaysia. the demand in China for this phone staggering high.
Huawei really compete with xiaomi. their advantage, bigger factories=more productive.

I m still waiting this phone out, thinking to ship from china direct already.

This phone is basically an upgraded g700 at a lower selling price on hardware and EMO UI. From Honor progress since last December till now, its has no intention at all to release Honor branded phone out of china. Its proven by the fact where huawei media X1 which just announced in MWC Barcelona, which cost 399 euros with LTE support, but in china, there a same 7 inch phablet with same spec with the brand 榮耀 X1 (Honor X1) selling in Huawei Vmall for 1799 yuan with 3g WCDMA connectivity. So for Huawei branding ones you going to pay rm1.8k+ with 4g and Honor ones just cost you rm900+ with 3g, where the rest of the phablet spec is all the same. You could ask yourself if the LTE connectivity is worth rm900 extra or not.

So for those which wait or hope that it will be available locally through huawei, I suggest you guys get it directly from china or through online store such as taobao or ali express. Honor 3C WCDMA version is available around 210 usd in ali express which included the cost of fedex shipping

And be warned that Honor branded phone might not have GApps installed by default, as its currently only meant for china market only.

nice information. if that so, i need to wipe this item from my list. huawei g700 only. no other phone try to compete. so sad. 5" below phone, dual sim, 2gb ram. (big battery is a bonus)

To be honest I dont worry much on warranty issues, as I dont think phone will spoil easily unless its your own mistake, such as drop. From my experience of more than 15 years with handphone, never had a phone went for warranty. Even my 7 years old SE W960i still working good now, just battery getting weak only

As for the GApps part, I not too sure if its present by default, since certain phone will come with different os customization. Take zopo and thl for eg, those sold in china came with own customize os, such like yun os for zopo and tang dou for thl, but those sold in international market. WCDMA version will usually come with GApps. So its best to check up with the seller on this.

If you willing to spend bit more, you could find octa core phone at around usd 260+. I just order myself 1 thl t200c for 262usd with shipping.

Warranty also not an issue, just a lot logistic company not accept mobile phone shipment.

Honestly rm650 is already a good bargain, dont think much on to get it lower, as default price of 1k yuan already around rm550 after conversion. Majority online seller such like those in taobao will usually mark up selling price by around 100 to 200 yuan, which make the phone minimum at around 1.1 - 1.2k yuan

Unless you could get it directly through vmall or authorized web reseller at default price and get someone to bring it back to Malaysia, else I dont think rm600 is kinda possible.

Why put a big a$$ HONOR logo at the back . Hopefully they'll use the huawei logo as it's more well known than honor.

This is because honor no longer a series under huawei, but a new branding which focus on internet sales like hongmi. A same phone will price differently when branded with huawei or honor, where mediapad x1 & honor x1 will be a good example

Not sure there will actually be one or not, even if it will, wcdma version will usually price slight higher. If you really interested on the phone, best order it online instead of endless wait. RM600+ for a quad core with 2gb ram is kinda reasonable to be honest.

Its not bout patience but getting what you need at the right timing as phone changes are rapid. If forever waiting for the best deal, in the end most likely will end up getting nothing , but also good as you could save back some cash

Anyone got this phone already. Saw the spec and seem good contender with Moto G but android jelly bean.

I don't actually think there very big difference on jelly bean vs kit kat la, as honor 3c already had 2gb ram by default. This phone is basically an updated g700 at a lower price point, which you could get it online for 195 USD with shipping. Reason it's not popular due to no official channel available for it in local, where the only source to obtain one is through online channel.

And thanks to the fierce price war now in China for offering Octa core at sub 1k yuan, this make honor 3c spec not that attractive anymore. With the same pricing, you could now get coolpad halo f1, Octa core 1.7ghz with 2gb ram and 8gb ROM, 5 inch ltps gorilla glass, 13 & 5 mp combo cam.

This video is kinda dated already, and the major comparison is actually hongmi and honor 3c, where the coolpad f1 use is still an engineering sample. Also in terms of performance, coolpad f1 shouldnt be put together with the other 2, even though the pricing is similar during that stage. It should be use to compare to the honor 3x play edition and hongmi note.

But since its wcdma version make appearance 1st, its already scoring compare to the other 2.

I was there too and had the opportunity to meet with a couple of more mods.

The 3C seems to exhibit a fantastic camera and it was pitted against the Note 3.

The 3C's macro shooting is better, and its front camera has a wider angle.

A pleasant surprise is that the back cover is removable and exposes the battery and dual sim slots. It's a long slim 2300mah unit, and all securing screws are exposed. Easy maintenance device.

Mediapad X1, IMHO, was the star of the show. Incredibly sexy piece of kit.

I will be watching out for it later this year.

Very smooth emoticon UI with no noticeable lags
Excellent camera for selfie shots with wide angle. Forumer Baronic had compared it with his Note smartphone n took few shots with his DSLR camera . Hope he can post his shots here
Everyone predict phone should be cheap probably in range rm800 n if so is value for money

Pretty impressed with the phone, especially the screen and the camera. Moreover it looks neat. For design, less is more nowadays

need or not oh...those 3 led can take away how much power...G700 has it and the battery life is way better den the S3 or S4...

Managed to get Nova Launcher to run on the 3C.

But weirdly enough, it didnt become the default launcher (no such option, as other phones, when u press the Home button, it'll ask, the 3C doesnt).

The 3C not bad la, got quad core MTK, but unlike the moto g, the 3C has 2GB of RAM

Camera sensor is by Sony. Rear 8mp, front 5mp. Shots actually came out better than my Nexus4

But I can sense some hints of choppiness, but that isn't a major deterrent.

The Huawei 3C is truly an amazing phone. For a budget device, the specs and the hardware truly blew me away after i attended the press conference this morning. Attached below are two important pictures.

1. Screen colour accuracy. Bottom 3 phones from left to right, NOTE 3 (professional photo screen mode) you can see has a tinge of orange, the Xperia Z, which has a strong blue tint, Huawei 3C, huawei's "unannounced" phone, probably around RM300-700 with insane colour accuracy. The screen is the same screen being used by the iphone. The largest device screen is huawei's also unannounced Mediapad, again, great colours.


2. Two devices, the bigger being the note 3 and the smaller the huawei 3C. You can see how the Huawei 3C's 5mp front facing 'selfie' camera totally blows the note 3 out of the water. The note 3 had significant flaring, looked washed out.


3. Not shown by i took pictures with the Note 3 (in 8mp mode for fairness) and the 8mp on the Huawei 3C. Huawei's Sony 8mp camera is pretty decent, but I'm not sure if its a sony issue, was pretty noisy. The Note 3 while not as noisy, lost a lot of detail, likely due to software softening and smoothing. I could see eyebrows in the 3C while those details were lost in the Note 3. However i could see pores in the Note 3, and pores seemed lost in the 3C. I would say its a tie (if both are on 8MP)

huawei, pretty amazing their lineup, and with that kinda prices, i look forward to their devices

How is it compare to huawei g700?

To some people, it doesn't matter if there are developer support or option to use AOSP or CM or PA etc. I just wish these devices get more love from XDA to develop custom ROM.

I think for now we could only use Vroot, since it is mediatek processor. The use gravitybox to achieve all the customization we need. Stable and continuous custom ROMs are still a little far-fetched for Huawei phones.
