I have been invited since they started this - this is my 4th invite . Only the last invite I didn't go
HuaWei had a list of forumers that they wish to invite for such pre launch evaluation

Mediapad X1 with its thin bezel hide it well as  a 7 incher. Easily slip inside my side pockets

Beautiful n well designed
Excellent display with bright m sharp colors n you wont believe is only 720p
Very smooth emoticon UI with no noticeable lags
Excellent camera for selfie shots with wide angle. Forumer Baronic had compared it with his Note smartphone n took few shots with his DSLR camera . Hope he can post his shots here
Everyone predict phone should be cheap probably in range rm800 n if so is value for money

The 3C not bad la, got quad core MTK, but unlike the moto g, the 3C has 2GB of RAM

Camera sensor is by Sony. Rear 8mp, front 5mp. Shots actually came out better than my Nexus4

But I can sense some hints of choppiness, but that isn't a major deterrent.

Can it be flashed with local firmware to give Google Play back?

Ekceli is can, both hardware is the same, only ROM difference

Was it that bad? I was on the Huawei event today too, did not encounter hard errors.
