Regret placing an order for D820 from Dark Devon. Not because of the lack of LTE support as I don't think I'm going for LTE anytime soon, but due to the massive delay. Placed my order which I was already vaguely informed that it would arrive either by end of November or December. When December came, informed it would arrive in one to two weeks time. Two weeks later which leads to now, and I am informed it would only arrive after Christmas as there is some delay with the Customs due to holiday. Not sure if legit or bullshit.

He is definately legit. Thats why I dont like pre-order shyt. Take too much time and no guarantee. I rather pay more for ready stock.

Bro. Honestly. I don't find any battery saving using this kernel. Any tips? I follow all the recommended option during installation and activate s2lock and t2unlock only.

And where you find 0.17. I can't seems to find it.

About 1-2 days for flight then you've to pray that custom didn't notice it and you'll get it in 1-2 more days. So total about 3-4 days. I don't know about knives, but someone tried to bring in a samurai sword and got confiscated.

If you asked me, reliable would be techbug. I know the guy personally, very friendly & cool guy. If any problem he will help you claim warranty but you need to pay postage around RM90 to US, postage from US back to malaysia he will cover.

If cheapest then probably D820 model, can get around RM1.4k iirc, otherwise like others said D821 model can get around ~RM1.5k.
If you not going for LTE then cheapest of all would be D820 model lo. Can get for RM1.4k, otherwise DirectD would be cheapest I think unless you have friends over australia or japan. Bought mine for < RM1.3k
I dont think there is the "best" case. All has its own pro and cons. If best value vs quality case then I think would be ultra hybrid? Since it comes with free screen protector, no need to fork out further. RM70 including postage is not bad I think  hmm.gif

I'd need something stronger than the ultra hybrid since i've got bad experience of cracking a Note 1 and seeing the drop test results of a Nexus 5 isn't exactly reassurring

Problem is, when sellers got ready stock, people complain expensive and this and that. lol. I sold my white Aus for RM1760.

What they don't realize, I paid AUD$160 to ship it to Malaysia via DHL Express.

People want fast, want ready stock, but not willing to pay. thumbup.gif Not realistic lah this people.

I guess their best option is to buy from shops who has a network set up, like DirectD.

Yep, that's the thing. Of course don't sell over the top like 2k+. Now DirectD selling at 15XX with warranty which is reasonable.

since android 4.3, many apps leverage google location service. which is very drain battery. android 4.4, implement location and power saving control but still not enough. below are few tips:

1. UV control, you may refer the setting table post before.
2. detect high wakelock service or app, betterbatterystat, wakelock detector, etc... any your prefer app can help
3. then greenify the apps
4. android 4.4.2, google hide AppOps. no problem, you sure know there is alternative to get it. control the permission, specially Google Play Store which is high drain battery service, and also your finding from No.2
5. power profile or tasker can help further or automate the connectivity control. set sleeping, working time differently. else can try GO Power Control, just follow the optimization guideline.
6. set min and max CPU speed, set max speed for screen off, all this can do in trickster too.
7. lastly, minimal the numbers of boot apps. just like what we do msconfig in PC. many apps can help on this.

optional: custom rom, cataclysm offer smart radio function. I found it's quite useful. screen off running 2G, enough speed for my whatsapp. resume LTE when screen on automatically.

enjoy tuning icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: there is someone post in ElementalX xda thread, managed to archive 10 hours SOT via this kernel. (I shared this before also in V2). Somehow, my best record only 7 hours SOT. But I found out he set Airplane mode during sleeping time, maybe I can do this too to get 10 hours SOT.

In official 4.4.2 any setting;button or short cut can one touch kill all running/recent app instead swipe one by one, just like in CM?
