Hi guys,

Please advise

1. Brand : VIOS vs ELANTRA (or any u recommend)
2. Budget : RM 100k
3. New/Used/Unreg : New
4. Specs : Doesnt matter
5. Transmission : A
6. NA or FI : any
7. Type : any
8. Remarks : Will be used as daily drive and weekly mileage around 300km.

Firstly i like the design of Elantra MD 1.6 with sport kit which cost about 103k in Sabah. However the things that pulling my legs are my parents quite against me to go for it due to the RV. They are telling me to go for Full spec Vios or TRD cause the RV is higher and car price is lower compared to Elantra.

One more concern is that im actually worry about the reliability of elantra after 5years of warranty. Since theres no 3S centre here, it would be a pain in the ass if theres problem with the car like major breakdown or wat.

Thanks so much for the advise in advance

http://www.fordparts.com/

find a few stuff inside here.....common things like bearings, mountings, brake pad, ignition coils
then find a spare part shop (not workshop)
ask for the prices of those stuff.
then make your decision.

1. Brand : Any (Besides Proton n Perodua)
2. Budget : Max 60k
3. New/Used/Unreg : Doesn't matters.
4. Transmission : Auto
5. Year : Not more than 3 years car preferably
6. Type : Sedan or hatchback

Doing outdoor sales job so FC is important.

Everyday travel is about 100km, so maintenance cost is crucial too.

Gonna drive it for at least 5 years.

Any recommendation??
i saw sylphy quite good review here, just scared FC

or does it make any difference buying it now or in 2015?

1. Brand. : Any
2. Budget. : Around 60k
3. New/Used/Unreg. New/Unreg.
4. Transmission. : Auto
5. Type. : Any

Looking for a car for basic commute from home to work. I'm located in PJ and may be placed either in Petronas Twin Tower or Shell at my new job. Just a comfortable car and decent FC will do.

Based on my current budget, I think the best option for me is a Proton Iriz 1.6 CVT.
Been reading up the reviews so far, the CVT issues and RV doesn't bother me that much.

Any other suggestion on what car I may get that could be better than the Iriz?

Thanks in advance!

Just wanna ask does the Satria Neo R3 come in S2000 yellow? Do they offer the S2000 yellow as one of the colour choices when purchasing new at the showroom?

Thanks!

Hi. Which Hyundai model are you interested in?
Our sedans are currently not turbo, but is quite powerful vs some other makes of the same cc. If you can wait a bit more, the Veloster Turbo is coming and the price should be very attractive smile.gif
Do let me know if you need any help. I am based in the Glenmarie HQ.
Thanks!

this is a hard question to answer. bump for others to give you a better reply

my opinion would be:
1) 2007/2008 nissan latio. (probably you need to fork out extra 2-5k for this)
best bang for bucks. the manual version will drive out the CVT problems. a 7 years old nissan will bring less problems than a 3 years old proton. it maybe have a boring look but being practical is more important if you considering a car under 30k

value for money- 4.5/5
power-4/5
Comfort-4/5
FC-4/5
reliability-3.5/5
safety-3.5/5

2) 2003/2004 Altis (auto/manual) - highly recommended
this is one of the last legend from toyota for it's build quality. it maybe be underpowered for 1.6, but it will able to take you from point A to B without much problem (do check and replace necessary parts from with mechanics after buying it). if you going for the 2001-2002 1.8 model it will be a plus. there is manual version but you need to find it

value for money- 4/5
Power-3.5/5
Comfort-4.5/5
FC-4/5
reliability-4/5
safety-4/5

3)2004 vios (auto)
this is a no brainier car. a balanced car with a perfact weight to power ratio which will able to used as daily drive but for highway, you may need to stick with its speed limit. however a altis will do much better works than this.

value for money- 3.5/5
power- 4.5/5
Comfort-3/5
FC-5/5
reliability-4/5
safety-3/5

4)2006/2007 sentra
like the nissan latio, cars from nissan have lower RV and therefore you will be able to get newer car compares to T/H.

value for money- 4/5
power- 3.5/5
Comfort-4.5/5
FC-3/5
reliability-4/5
safety-4/5

5)2011, 2012 Persona
the last that fits into your budget.

value for money- 3/5
power- 3/5
Comfort-4.5/5
FC-2/5
reliability-2/5
safety-4/5

2006 honda accord 2.0 @ 46k

2006 honda accord 2.4 @ 49k

many people have said the 2000cc is a good entry level car but it is slightly underpowered which is why most people after warranty over sell the car, if you don't mind the bit more of roadtax money get the 2400cc version, equipment better and more powerful, fuel economy and maintenance is about the same.

i guess this is fine, but the facelift will have an exterior benefit of pinching parts from the new "perdana" so maintenance and parts will be even cheaper but you gotta live with people calling your accord a perdana  laugh.gif
the altis not to your liking?
of the two the city is better at long distance.
*
Thx bro thumbup.gif decided to buy accord 2.0 03-07
dont mind about performance, comfort then ok ady haha
sylphy and accord to choose but i like accord more
