What car can I buy for rm700 monthly installment?
Yes, upgrading brows.gif

first consider...

1. whats the market value of your current car.
2. how much money you get after you trade-in and contra the remaining of your loan.
3. rm700 you wanna pay for how many years.
4. what kinda car u like?
5. cheap maintenance is a priority?
6. resale value is a priority?

hi. im planning to buy 2005 Proton Wira SE A/B manual from a friend. Its in good condition, female user, capable of travelling long distance. What would be the market price, provided the seller fix and patch up all minor repair works.
I've been told to negotiate based on insurance value. I don't know how to obtain this though. Any help please.

check the insurance policy.

Hi, im buying my mother's car and planning to bring the car to Puspakom for inspection B5 & B7. My mother as the owner is unable to come, so the Puspakom guy asked me to prepare an authorization letter if somebody else is sending the car. Anybody has any idea what is it? any sample?

Local brand vehicles got excise duty exclusion for those who has OKU cards wanting to buy new vehicles, so in this case... would you recommend a Perodua or a Proton?

Thanks zenix. Anyway which one is better, Nissan or Mitsubishi?
EDIT: which car can carry up to seven people?

*
i think right now mitsubishi is a good promotion deal with the discounts and free service. because they're japanese cars which are quite common on the road and not very complicated you won't have large and expensive maintenance bills in the future.

depends bro.

perodua alza can carry 7 (2 large adults, 3 medium size/small size adults, 2 kids) but if OKU there won't be space for wheelchair because the boot is the seating space for the last row. It is basically a stretched B-segment hatch (Myvi) to become a MPV.

nissan livina can carry 7 (2 large adults, 3 medium size adults, 2 small size adults) but if OKU there won't be space for wheelchair because the boot is the seating space for the last row. It is at least a C-segment vehicle thus more spacious. equivalent to this but more expensive would be honda stream and toyota wish.

above two are below 100k options, but honestly there aren't many options if you're looking to carry a full load of 7 people with a wheelchair, it is either 7 people or 5 people with wheelchair.

I see. Now it's a shame that Gov give excise duty FOC for OKU buying national cars but the cars cannot appropriately accommodate OKU family.

Useless initiative indeed, I can say.

*
they want to promote their own industry and seem to care.....sorry about that.

if proton i think you can go for exora, is it about the same as livina/stream/wish.
last time perodua got one model kenari kasih which is specifically for OKU, but i dun remember it being in production. hmm.gif

looking for trusted mechanics,do u have anyone can recommend ?

usually if u don't have one trusted one.
better not bring any stranger.

QUOTE(Rin @ Jun 28 2014, 09:00 PM)
Completely understandable. Business and politics always run together.
And thank you for your suggestion about Exora, zenix. Yup, Kenari is no longer available as brand-new car. The exclusion of excise duty is only for brand-new vehicles, I recall that it does not qualify for buying second-hand ones.

*
i think it is only for new cars.
looking at it you don't have much choice if it is only p1 and p2

Since perodua reduce their viva price to below rm29k (viva s) I wonder if it is a good time to buy it or should I wait for viva replacement? Heard the replacement is an energy efficient car. Looking to buy a car for my daily drive to work. Currently drive my old proton saga (1987).

Price is the main factor here because my budget only around rm300 monthly.  Got Exora for family car so this car only for work.

why dun just save the money until can afford something better?

If the budget were to be limited to around RM30k for a car, don't mind if it is 2nd hand or 1st, nor make is important however must be an automatic, would MyVi be the de facto to go to? Thank you!

Can only afford rm30k-40k car only. Already own Exora but use by my wife. Current proton because too old, maintenace already too high plus the FC also high. Thinking for low FC car.

QUOTE(rthm93 @ Jul 9 2014, 07:40 PM)
will the discount still be available during year end?

Im planned to buy my first car by end of this year. But im still deciding which car to buy and i personally is quite interested in attrage. Been hearing a lot of disagreements about my plan on buying attrage, main reason is cuz of its 1.2l engine...

1. Brand : Not proton and kimchi cars  laugh.gif
2. Budget : 60+k and below
3. New/Used/Unreg : new
4. Specs : any
5. Transmission : any
6. NA or FI :  -
7. Type : any
8. Remarks : The dp will be paid by my parent and so is the installment of the first year. The dp should be 20k and my 97 wira. Based on wat i felt after discussing wif her, she is more keen to buy a myvi as the installment is much cheaper... But since im the one who is going to pay for the installment for this car after i graduated from my degree, i wanted a more reliable car which can last as long as possible.
*
you just have to keep tabs on the promotions until then.
always got different promotions from different manufacturers.
who knows mebbe an ecoboost 1.0 fiesta might be available for less than 60k by then brows.gif

QUOTE(chowtek123 @ Jul 9 2014, 11:18 PM)
I wonder Kia Rio (A) 2005 ver. better or Proton Savvy (M) 2010 better if I want to buy a second hand car...
Maintenance wise, FC wise, Performance vs Price wise...
I'm a total amature in these things, currently looking for my 1st car...RM200 is what i can afford to commit per month.
Any suggestion?
*
both ain't really good choices if you talk about maintenance cost and fuel consumption.
