is honda malaysia going to bring in HPD CRZ supercharge kit??
any honda's worker here??
*
No they won't. I am not a Honda worker, but Honda Malaysia has never brought in any such kits before in their history. You are better off importing the set yourself and get someone to install it for you, assuming that the Malaysia CRZ cars are compatible with it (note it is only meant for US market CRZ, they have different ECU codes).

CAI got use ke?

It's widespread that there is no difference and if any difference also it's minor improvement on turbo setup.

got anyone do direct before after dyno? hmm.gif
*
So far there has been claims that it liberates 5hp out of the installation :
http://www.crzforum.com/forum/auto-city-im...6ft-lbs-tq.html
On my personal opinion, it does give some better throttle response, and engine revs faster, but I cannot substantiate that with a dyno chart, as I did a whole lot more than just an air filter during my dyno. If you are planning just for a plug and play, then probably minor improvements IMHO compared to stock paper filter kind, similar gains can also be obtained with a drop in performance filters too. More gains can be obtained if the car is tuned properly (in my case Hondata) to fully utilize the lean fuel mixture after installing.
Cheers...

about the brakes... hmm, i thought our car isnt too bad. maybe i'm not pushing it hard enough sweat.gif
*
In my opinion, CRZ brakes are below my expectations, the calipers and pads just do not put confidence in me to go fast. Changed it to a 4 potter when i had the funds...

The Honda Jazz assembled in Melaka are lower spec than those CBU. Less air bag, lousier disc brake, etc. If they gonna assemble CRZ here, i think its gonna be lower spec as well.
*
Don't think it will be assembled here, CRZ is not a volume seller which explains why until today there are still old stock available. They can't recuperate the CKD costs if they assemble it in Malaysia, hence CKD cars are always a volume seller.

Insight has been discontinued worldwide due to poor sales.  rclxub.gif
*
Ditto, that is correct, as there has been an overlap of models, namely Civic Hybrid and Insight. These 2 models cannibalize each other in the sales, so not surprised if one of them gets scrapped.

so insight? unsure.gif
*
As mentioned by Kikifish, Insight will no longer be sold. As for the CRZ, like all 2 door cars, they are low volume sellers thus makes no economic sense to CKD it here in Malaysia. I would think Honda would prefer to concentrate on bread and butter models like CKD Honda Jazz, Jazz Hybrid, Civic and CRV, coz those cars are "safer bets" in economic terms.

i hv budget round 10 to 15k.. how much HP can i push this car?
looking somewhere near 200hp
*
Usually not enough.... if you plan to do it correctly.
Proper Supercharger/turbo kit is already 15k, and u still have not put in the extras like meter gauges, tuning, brakes, tyres etc, usually a full job takes about 25k...

Does the trk work once you changed rims & tyres?
*
Yes, it is universal unless if you have TPMS installed, or have special tyre valve.... as the sealant may damage the TPMS sensor or tyre valve.
Stock car no issues...

The tyre repair silicone is universal for all tyres.

The question is whether the inflator can be used with aftermarket rims

user posted image

that blue thing with the dials. Was told by SA that the thing is plugged into the 12v socket to inflate tyres so suspect it can't be used with modded rims hmm.gif
*
It is the same, it is just a tyre inflator. As mentioned earlier, unless your have TPMS system with sensors on the tyre valve, or have a special tyre valve which are out of size (mine is from Rays Eng, and is slightly smaller) then you are probably out of luck.
Changing rims are not an issue for the tyre inflator. It is the tyre valve that you use. When you go change the rims, just take out the tyre inflator, and try screwing the cap into the tyre valve that they plan to give you (usually metal). If it fits, then perfect, if not then ask them to remove the original tyre valve and use that instead (that is normal sized).
Good luck!
Edit : Yes the tyre inflator takes its power from the 12V socket, but has no relation to the new rims or tyres.

What do you guys think of the resale value for this car once the stock has finished?
*
All 2 door cars in Malaysia are pretty cold cars, hence resale value will not be good. Plus CRZ is a hybrid, which drops the price even further.
Looks elsewhere if you want a good resale value, as this car is as bad as Honda can be... unless you sell to enthusiast laden with mods.

Don't worry too much, the VSA will kick in if there is a wheelspin during acceleration, cutting off the throttle and power from the engine. The wheelspin is mainly due to the electric motor having its peak torque very early in the rpm range, even my 18" wheels is not immune to it.

Been driving my new crz for 2 weeks now, reached 1k mileage. Should I change the engine oil as well when I take it to service?
*
Standard 1k service does not include oil change, and also not specified in Honda's service interval. You would need to pay for the oil change if you feel it is necessary. It is up to individual to decide if it is necessary to perform the oil change or not.
Personally, I would keep the Japanese car-factory oil in the car as long as I could.

hmm.gif Interesting.. Will put it to the test once I hit very low fuel levels.. smile.gif Currently trying see how far I can squeeze out of the car while running Normal all the way.. Mileage at 1,400km atm
*
Too early to test... new cars usually consume slightly more petrol until the engine has run in.
Suggest you test this after 10,000km...

When it came to zero, my right feet was really light, like an angel.... but still moving and still manage to make it to the petrol station of my choice. The fuel pump has yet to whine and choke, so i kept on driving till I find the petrol station of my choice biggrin.gif
QUOTE(civicspoon @ Mar 28 2014, 04:47 PM)
ur engine oil is using Honda's 0w 20 right?
*
Nope, i don't believe in the 0-20W oil... too light for my kinda heavy-footed driving.
Furthermore, my CRZ manual have specifically said that 0-20W is NOT meant for Malaysia cars. Honda somehow changed that manual for later edition cars, which subsequently says that 0-20W oil is suitable for Malaysian CRZ.
I do not have a screenshot of my manual now, but can provide it later.
At this moment, due to the nature of my driving, I am using 10-30W Torco full-synth oil.

if you chose 10w 30 so does the feel heavy? compare with 0w 20?

It is slightly heavier... but not too bad on my books.
