Guys, fog lamps don't cover under the warranty?

Mine seemed to me malfunctioning. Press on and no light emitted. Checked the bulbs and they are fine.

What's the price you're getting your car at? Is it still 119k before discount?

Apparently foglamps are under "wear and tear" so it is not covered under warranty. There is some wiring problems with the foglamps and the SC wants to charge rm200-300 labour charges JUST TO CHECK THE WIRING.. -.-

Any of you guys got contact or workshop to check wiring for me? In Klang Valley if possible.

Thanks!

I thought hybrid tax exemption until 2013 only? Apparently its still the same price now and is still selling.
Anyway anyone experience during cold start like in the morning, when u step on the brakes it squeaks? After a few minutes it goes back to normal.

maybe you can argue with them saying that the bulbs are wear and tear... but the rest shouldnt be wear and tear right?

Have you checked the bulb, has it blown?
I do not think foglamp itself is not a wear and tear item, only the bulb is wear and tear. Even the wiring is not a wear and tear item. The SC is trying to make a fool of you, if they say foglamp is a wear and tear item. Argue with them, or go to other SC to fix...

Before you drive off in the morning, check if the disc rotors are rusted (they rust easily). That is usually the problem with the brakes squeak and will go away after driving a while.
If brakes are nice and clean, go for a brake service (take out pads, and sand them down a bit), and make sure no brackets etc are touching the disc rotors. My stock brakes never squeak before, unless I trash the brakes... but will still return to normal (no sound) once the heat dissipates.
Hope this helps...!

i disagree...for the past 22 months of ownership and whacking it on my daily commute to/from work on MEX highway, there's definitely more acceleration when you downshift (mine is MT) to 4th from 6th when you're rolling on at say 100 - 120kph compared to when only downshift to 5th...this is even more evident if you are going up an incline (common feature on MEX)...also, you save more battery juice when you keep it in higher revs
I keep mine on normal mode only as I feel that in sport mode it gives an artificial impression of "still" having power reserve when you're half throttling it. and when you depress the throttle fully it doesn't give any additional power compared to half throttle  mad.gif

Shouldn't be that case. The moment you lift off the brakes the engine should restart. Yes,I'm talking abt the manual crz.

Only on 1st gear that you can keep the engine running with the clutch depressed. This is one of the method I use in bumper to bumper jams

Go get it man... just make sure someone reputable does it for you, if you want to know of a good mechanic for the CRZ supercharger, you can PM me.
At this moment, my pockets are not as deep yet, so I had to hold off further mods, so no supercharger for me. Its great that there is no alternator in the CRZ, the supercharger can be mounted on that location with ease.

Only problem with revs is that people think you are struggling to pick up speed... with exhaust bellowing loudly. Oh well... you just can't please everyone.

Nope I didn't, I had it installed in my N16 Nissan previously, and eventhough the engine have an internal balancer shaft, I can feel that the engine is taking a strain after using it for a few years. I sold off the car before any further damage was done. Since the CRZ engine has no balancer shaft, I decided not to put it in... it is easier and safer to do NA tune or supercharger.
