I just came back from test drive the new alza advance..
This is my comment...
1) The pickup is ok.. Very responsive..
2) space n leg room is excellent..
3) design is nice
4) sterring wheel is a little bit heavy.. No EPS (electric power sterring) like myvi?
5) No uv glass coated? Previous got uv..
6) Driving feel not syok la.. I dont know how to explain.. Buy my 8 years old myvi feel more better.. Mybe the tyre they use silverstone?
7) The 7" display monitor cannot read movie file like .mkv or .avi through usb.. I try my own movie in the usb while test drive..

Other than that all is perfect..

Congrats Bro on the new Alza !!just to add that,

4) the steering wheel is a bit heavy, but for me just nice. The latest Myvi's is too light for me, where I can turn the steering using last 1 finger.

5) The UV coated... is it just only on the front windscreen?

6) When you said driving feel, you mean cornering or noise?

Oops.  My bad. ..

Meant to say that I will change to tyres recommended in this forum when it is time to change the stock tyres.

Unless there are some serious safety issues with the stock tyres. Do advise if got known issues.

Hi Jerung,

My previous ori tyre is silverstone. Used for 6 months only and the tyres has uneven wears. After that changed to Pirelli P6, using that P6 for 2.5 years 46k km. Now using Kumho for about 5000km dah and so far okay.

Not implying anything bro, just to make sure you know that the stock tyres tak makan even though still with plenty of bunga, especially wet weather... ABS also kicks in earlier during braking...

Are the stock tires Silverstone Synergy M5? If yes then replace as soon as you have the budget.

Thanks all for the heads up on the tyres. Hopefully my bonus cones next month.

Kedah is quite hot. Any tips so that aircond is more cooling?

Thanks in advance.

A good tint would definately helps. Just get the car moving, and should cool down then.

Here in KL/PJ, the weather is hotter now.. I just turn the temperature to 7/10 from 5/10.

At last after delay for few days, i got my alza adv red this evening. Just drive from p2 office to my home. Didn't have time to explore it yet. Only the front dvd will not work if you didn't press the handbrake and gear in P position. For the roof screen will working if driving. Rear camera very clear on screen.

Thanks for the tips.

No option on the tint as the car comes factory fitted with Llumar security film.

During the drive back from kedah to kl, turned the aircon temperature to max n fan speed at 2. Was ok in the 4pm heat. Reduced the cooling once the sun has set.

Only had the alza for a week n still learning the quirks.

If bought from Perodua Dealer, then maybe same like my case.

Ordered o 24th Jan for Silver AV. Was informed after CNY that Silver have to wait long time..... like end of March :-|
Given choice of Red or white as available options. Chose red but still same story of no stock.
So I fed up and told SA to just get me an AV of any colour.
Turns out to be best outcome for me coz I got the purple colour finally on 18th Feb n my wife n I actually really like this colour. :-)

I hope your wait ends soon smile.gif

Mine also. At first SA inform if adv ver have to wait for 1 month. After cfm with KL he said I m lucky coz there is a car for me waiting for delivery oly. Delay for 4 days at last the my red alza reach JB. SA slso said after this anybody booking for adv ver have to wait for 2-3 month. SE ver will faster to get the car. P2 target people will booking SE ver more but after open booking more people are booking adv ver. That why adv ver have to wait longer inform but my SA.
