So far I'm happy with my purple alza av. Wanted silver originally but sa said need to wait. So I just grab whichever colour available. Turns out I actually like the purple colour :-)

baby also happily sleep most of the way from kl to sp kedah.

Is only been a week so hopefully can share more after using the car longer.

Will look into changing the stock tyres to what u guys recommend once they dah haus.

Currently, very happy with the car as I don't expect it to be like my dad's merc. Glad I upgraded from getting a saga.

Oops. My bad. ..

Meant to say that I will change to tyres recommended in this forum when it is time to change the stock tyres.

Unless there are some serious safety issues with the stock tyres. Do advise if got known issues.

Tq.

Thanks all for the heads up on the tyres. Hopefully my bonus cones next month.

Kedah is quite hot. Any tips so that aircond is more cooling?

Thanks in advance.

A good tint would definately helps.  Just get the car moving, and should cool down then.

Here in KL/PJ, the weather is hotter now.. I just turn the temperature to 7/10 from 5/10.
*
Thanks for the tips.

No option on the tint as the car comes factory fitted with Llumar security film.

During the drive back from kedah to kl, turned the aircon temperature to max n fan speed at 2. Was ok in the 4pm heat. Reduced the cooling once the sun has set.

Only had the alza for a week n still learning the quirks.

too bad...my red alza advanced...SA still say no stock...walao........about 2weeks+ time already...... =(

If bought from Perodua Dealer, then maybe same like my case.

Ordered o 24th Jan for Silver AV. Was informed after CNY that Silver have to wait long time..... like end of March :-|
Given choice of Red or white as available options. Chose red but still same story of no stock.
So I fed up and told SA to just get me an AV of any colour.
Turns out to be best outcome for me coz I got the purple colour finally on 18th Feb n my wife n I actually really like this colour. :-)

I hope your wait ends soon smile.gif

Just the horn. I think also the difference last time since you pay parts for service, they are more inclined to sell you more parts. Now since it's inclusive 3 year parts+labour, i think they will really only change things that are necessary. smile.gif
just my thoughts.

Based on my experience for the 1k service. They only provide engine oil n labour free. Gear oil tanggung sendiri.

I think they will still suggest you things to add on every time you go for service because it is their SOP. So, now they will have your undivided attention for the next 3 years or 60k km whichever comes first.

Just like the full tank upon car delivery. It is their SOP but many dealers will say they give for free just to sweeten the deal. When I got my car only I realised about this.

interesting. how much you paid for your first service?

i paid rm70+, for the optional items ( gasket drain plug, washer shampoo and including the buzzer).

also had the option not to pay anything.
*
Wah.... lucky you. ..

I kena RM105 for the buzzer n other things they said was necessary but not free like the gear oil n dive other stuff.

I've been doing my own Fuel Consumption watch. So far I get the following FC...

16 cents per KM for long distance driving
19 to 20 cents per KM for town driving (Ampang to city Centre mostly)

I think I've got heavy feet. Interested to know if other people get better FC.

Here's mine for the entire duration I owned my Alza...

[attachmentid=3876035]

Avg RM 0.16/km... mixed of town and highway drive...

If it's purely highway drive, I can reach RM 0.14/km...
This is considering I'm a heavy footer myself...

Your mileage may improve overtime... Let the engine run in first...
*
Thanks for the reassurance on the FC. I hope so I can get to your level after some time.

Do you have any specific petrol brand that you use eg. Caltex or it's rojak i.e. no specific brand?

Lastly, please share what app you are using to track your FC.

Thanks :-)

Mixed brand, but mostly Petron since there are 2 Petron stations near my place...

App's called RoadTrip, it's a paid app on iOS...
*
Based on your experience with the app, would you recommend I pay for it if there's an Android version?

Still wairing fir my car delivery.. Booked since jan month end...

Dude. ... wish you get your Alza soon.

I was waiting for almost a month for my silver Alza AV. After a few hiccups including the explanation that silver colour will take time for delivery i.e. 8 more weeks. I just told the sales advisor to just get me an Alza of any colour as long as I can get one a.s.a.p.

In the end n after almost a month.... 24 jan till 18 Feb, I finally got the mystical purple one.

Hope your wait ends soon.
