Understand from friends studied with Daniel, he is good for calculations.

I went to Andrew Pang for P5. I do not like the way he handles the class. The way he present the lectures is monotonous. No student participation. Basically you just go there and sit while trying really hard to follow what he says because his voice is not clear. My friend in his P4 say he is the same way in that class as well.

I do not think P2 for June 2014 exam is anywhere easier since cash flows is predictable and easier which examined in Dec 2013.

Just hope that I pass this exam.

Not necessarily..I know quite a few people who studies everyday since day 1. They could answer any questions in class and finishes all the assignments and stuff, score good marks for progress tests and mock but yet they fail in the finals. Sometimes I wonder how could they ever fail. ACCA is just too unpredictable. Only can do your best and hope for the best smile.gif

Well you need to meet my teachers then. I was in schools and was known to be the best student there. Used to get A in every exam and guess what happened in my Matriculation, I got on 4 A and other 3 B. When I told that to my teachers, they were hell shocked. It is the same with ACCA. I was expecting some 80s in my F3 and I ended up with just 66.
It is really about luck I would say. My last exam was on 5th December and I doing P2 and P3 from 6th and then also you hear me failing any paper, what would you feel? laugh.gif rclxub.gif

haha not the classes lol
I, myself, have started studying! Bought some InterActive lectures and listening to them as well!
My plan is to finish around 30% of the syllabus for both these papers by my first class, which is on January 3rd.

If you can understand British Accent properly, go for Marty Windle. Heard a lot about him!

I have taken F6 from Siva Nair, He is a great lecturer. If I happen to take P6, which probably I won't, I would go for Siva Nair. One of the best thing is that he is a lot friendly, does a lot of questions in the class and ask a lot of question in the class from everyone turn-by-turn.

Anyone any ideas abou P2 Mary Edwin from Elit. I like her weekday classes. Joe Fang from Kasturi is conducting weekend classes every other week. It's tiring. Any Mary's students here? Confident in passing the paper this round? Can I know her teaching style? Thank you!

P1 Sheila from Elit.
P3 Michael Mainwaring's Taught Course + IRC is sufficient.

i studied my p1 under sheila. she was able to covered about 25 pyq (edited) (if i remember correctly. i guess more than that). cases were discussed in detail. i think that's really important. anyone doing acca would recognise the importance of getting familiar with the pyq. but i believe she has covered more than the syllabus. the only drawback as long as i'm considered. so her notes is thick but after all well organised. she's helpful and very kind.

as for p3, i did mine with parminder. honestly not to my liking. but it really depends. lots of them said he's good and that's also why i picked him. he never discuss pyq. his notes is unorganised. messy. and also, okay, this is my feeling. for me he tends to beat around the bush with everything. i don't know. but some people really enjoy i guess. sometimes it's really frustrating because i got to rush to his class after work knowing there're works piled high on my desk and that day he'd discuss just 3-5 pages maybe.

i then attended michael's irc for p3 because i wasn't confident in passing the paper. his teaching is good. his note is good. i've learnt a lot, really a lot, in just 3 days, amazing. i didn't know he got something called taught course. otherwise i'd go. i'm very sure his 4 days taught course (4 days i guess) can cover whole syllabus. because he could cover all important topics in the 3 days irc i attended besides discussing cases and exam techniques. so i'm sure he can do a lot more with the another 4 days.

but i need to know about p2. any info on p2? comments on lecturers? thanks!

edited:-
yes, i checked. many pyq. a lot more than 25. around 35 or more. my p1 was a year ago so i don't keep my notes in an organised way. couldn't give y'll the exact figure lol.

Why not go for Tom Clendon's classes in FTMS. He is so called the best P2 lecturer ever.
