All those added feature is just marketing gimmick. if it really can do what it claims, then all those ppl that uses those model will never get sick anymore.

Nope, you are wrong on this. Indeed it does help, is just that you need to change the filter regularly.

I'm looking for cassette type air con, which is 2.5 hp for brand like daikin and mitsubishi.

Wondering where can I get it? As I can't get it from normal retail shop, they're not selling.

Oops forgot to mention earlier. Klang valley, I do notice there is a Mitsubishi center in PJ along the federal highway, but not sure are they selling or just a customer service center.

ionizer, plasma cluster or what ever trade name used, they are more on marketing gimmick only.
Unless you change those filters regularly. Else, just get the most basic model will do.

Daikin inverter not really cold and set for lower 25c usage like non inverter.

If try to set in 25c with low fan how does it work?

Mitsubishi electric only require for 25c with low fan speed.

May I know what is the difference in wiring between 1 HP, 1.5 HP, and 2 HP? Why there is price difference for installation?

I have one contractor charging me different prices for different HP but one more giving me flat rate of RM250 per air-con regardless of HP (including conceal wiring). He told me all the same.

Any advice?

Hi, anyone tried with Samsung air-cond before? Visited the fair at MV yesterday, was approached by the sales guy on this new modal, claiming best seller for the past 2-3 months. The price is quite attractive, almost par with Hitachi, Mitsu, Panasonic etc..

http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/home-ap.../AR18HCSDTWKNME

RM1,180 for 1HP with installation
RM1,980 for 2HP with installation

My condo already comes with the gas pipes though. How do they know whether to put the pipe for how many HP?

If just gas pipes different, then contractors/installers should not charge different rates for different HP aircon if the pipe is already there mad.gif

Hmm have to ask contract come to check out the actual gas pipes size for suitable hp as well.

After you order then to be more difficult for exchange.

For example gas pipe size :

1-1.5hp some share same size 6 & 9mm dia
Or some 1.5 = 6 & 12mm dia

2hp some 6 & 12mm dia or 9 & 15mm dia

Wow
