They do have.

heavy industry is that self clean thingy
electric is mr.slim eazy clean.

supposedly
electric has longer warranty
heavy industry is cheaper and longer lasting

Thanks for your reply smile.gif
Heavy industry self clean = meaning it will auto-clean itself & there's no need for maintenance at all?
Sounds to me like MHI is better & cheaper but why ppl still go for ME other than the longer warranty?

Hello,

I am looking for new air conditioner for my room, which is about 400 square feet and pretty warm in the afternoon as it is on second storey. Previously I am pretty interested n Panasonic 1.5HP air conditioner with inverter but electric showcase now introduce me a newly design, which is call Samsung Triangle Design air conditioner with inverter. Price wise it is RM300+/- cheaper than Panasonic brand. With its design, which pretty common sense that it has bigger fan and better air flows.

Anyone has any experience with this new Samsung model? What I heard is previous Samsung air conditioners were not so good and Panasonic always the top one. I would like to hear more about these two brands except others.

Thank you.

Talking about failure, Panasonic has only 5 years warranty and one-time-claim for inverter. As for Samsung, it carries 10 years warranty with unlimited inverter claim.

Does air conditioner inverter always break down? Or Samsung is afraid of their newly design inverter will fail frequently? doh.gif

Would that affect much on electricity bill? As I know, bigger room require bigger HP to support the air cooling, even use smaller HP end up the motor work all the way all the time which consume more electricity.

Please advise.

I never trust marketing gimmick. Using the most basic equipment that will gives you less problems.
Some like to spend extra just to "save" some electric bill. QUite stupid I would say.
Regardless of 5 or 10 years, it fails mean you got nothing to use. At that time, buy another for stand by?

That make sense too, I am just too easily into advertisement and showcase. I used to plan to have Panasonic when time arrive but yesterday visited the store and they introduced me the new Samsung air conditioner, then I become confused. blush.gif

Is up to you. I'm a Panasonic fan boy so I'll go for Panasonic. But then my basic Panasonic already serving me for 8 years and still good.
To keep electric bill low, use lesser air cond.
I've seen people using air cond for long hours and have health problems, like skin dry.

up to you, 1.5hp still ok but take longer to cool room during hot evenings even at full fan

my 2hp at low fan can cool room very quickly

about warranty claims, it may be voided if not serviced by their authorised dealers so 10 year warranty also no use

I really prefer the inverter as my home suffer from air conditioner usage due to second storey is suffering from the heat, open windows with fan running will still the same.

Look like I will go for Panasonic after consulting you guys and my brother-in-law.

By the way, is SenQ good for you guys? I have PlusOne membership there and plan to purchase air conditioner and 3D LED TV from them.

If you are using it for long hours, sure inverter, else basic type will do.
SenQ are good on installment plan and are more expensive than outside shops.
