How does clear switches feel compared to brown switches? Tried it a bit before but would like some extended user feedback before I start planning my next purchase biggrin.gif

I prefer clear over brown. I can feel more tactile than brown. Other than that no obvious different. And I only spend few minutes with my keyboard.

for me, the REAL non-clicky tactile bump switch should be MX Clear.
MX Brown is a lite version of MX Clear, attempting to be closer to linear.

I second that! Using clears have been a very different from the browns. The difference between them is very "clear" rolleyes.gif , the tactile is fun and very helpful in typing.

yes it is mechanical (as long any states mechanical, its mechanical). if you are a person that likes to customize, the Blackwidow is a nono for you, as it comes with non-standard layout (just like my Corsair K70).

if you want standard layout, go for Vortex, Rosewill, Ducky, Filco and CM (only certain are standard).

EDIT : my Corsair K70 came home yesterday but i accidentally bricked my new phone till today i revived it, so this is a recent shot of it. not to mention, when i sent the whole boxing, i managed to get a new unit as well! thumbup.gif

I wont customize it. I just wanna buy a mechanical keyboard for my gaming session. When you said CM, which model is good? Quickfire XT or Quickfire XT Stealth?

depends on your love at the keycaps whether should it have letters or not. normally, i will take blank keycaps as a fast typer never looks at the keyboard while typing. even blank keycaps keep you from those naughty-handed peoples. thumbup.gif laugh.gif

Get standard layout. Even though you will not customize, you will change the keycaps in the future for sure.

hmm....probably possible.
use 1.25 Alt instead of 1.5
then mod the stems on 6.25 spacebar, costar stabs is less picky about the fine precision of the stem distance.

supposedly if this theory works, u'll see a small gap between Alt and FN/Winkey.

Was considering BlackWidow and Ryos MK Pro for gaming also, but ended up getting Ducky Shine 3 instead (standard key layout with sufficient functions for me to work with). It is working marvelously for me so far. No regrets biggrin.gif However note though, if you are looking for those macro keys then you might not like DS3 as it doesn't have any.
