I recently bought solar films for my car from Solar Gard (M). I have observed that they provide best solar and security film. Solar Gard tints provide 99% of solar heat rejection and the security films protect you from all dangers. You can contact the nearby dealers for a free quote.
*
Bro, are you representing Solar Gard here in LYN?

Anybody tried this dealer before?
Dirt cheap so very suspicious.

Llumar RM888

Read in Honda website that they have a special arrangement with EcoTint and 3M to partner them.
How come the agent keep on selling outside brand?? More commission?
I wasnt even offered the 2 brand mentioned above.

Honda + Tint
*
Hi Bro,
Honda do tie up with EcoTint and 3M however salesman try not to push these because the specifications are lousy. Imagine you pay rm1500 for 3M on a Honda City but the front windscreen's TSER is only 25%! Furthermore, the side glasses tint is just a 3mil film. FYI, 3mil is not qualified in IWFA as standard security film.

Therefore, if the salesman going to sell you this kind of thing, for sure u will vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif wub.gif him......hahahaha biggrin.gif

They also try to avoid unnecessary complaints from customers.

Nevertheless, I do heard alot of complaints of Llumar customer (also my friends) - "Heat Rejection is not up to standard" Anyway, that is just for your reference only. The choice is still in your hand. cool.gif

just want to ask all the sifu here...anyone tried raytech RC for front windscreen and whole car? will it look too dark ?
*
If i am not mistaken, Raytech RC can only be install either side or rear windows only. It should be non JPJ compliance if you were to install RC in front windscreen. Whether its bright or dark, it also depends on the darkness of the rest of the windows.

the VLT for RC is 58% so o paper is not compliance with JPJ rules. another option for windscreen is change to Raytech Ultra70 which the VLT is 73% but i dont like the greenish color of Ultra70.

For side and rear windows planning to get RX security tint.
*
I did installed V97 for frontwindscreen since 3 years back. Color is nice and dark (Black color). Its non JPJ compliance too, however it not too dark till will attract JPJ to stop me at the road side. So far touch wood, never kena stop before.

Probably you can ask the shop whether is V97 available or not.

Just done my front suv's windscreen tint by Raytech in puchong, opted their 80% solar heat rejection film called 'Sputter Coat' at rm400.

Nice ambience & good service!

I hope I've make a good choice with a well worth spending yea...
*
Wow! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif RM400 for 80% solar heat rejection sounds ok. I shall consider this since i just changed my windscreen.
By the way, Is Sputter Coat meeting your expectation?

Hey everyone,

I just got offered RM1500 rebate OR LLumar Titanium 4-50 security tint + smartag+ full tank for Mazda 3 HS in JB.

I want to go with the tinted but wondering if LLumar Titanium 4-50 is good and worth the price or should I go for other brands like Rhinepro?

Hope for your advise, thank you!
*
Bro, don't go for RhinePro. LLumar still better than RhinePro provided the Llumar that you get is an original LLumar.
Rhinepro is a housebrand and its front windscreen is not good at all. (I'm an ex-user of Rhinepro. Of course, so far no bubbling, but heat rejection is not up to expectation.)

anyone can give pic of their car with the diamond 6 tint? worried that the color is to greenish for my liking.
*
Bro,
How much you got for Diamond 6? Should be quite pricey.
Can't comment much here, but the rest of the recommended brand here like VKOOL, Raytech or 3M can be considered as well.

Raytech mx vs vkool rem 55, which he better and which one will you take?
*
I will go for Raytech MX. I have few friends use this series and gives quite a good comment.
Of course, make sure you got the best deal in terms of pricing.

alright, I got experience with MX but no experience with rem 55.
MX is good enough for me but wondering rem 55 better or I should just use back MX.

rem55 seems to have higher IR rejection but lower TSER, whereas MX lower in IR rejection but higher TSER.
I should refer to TSER right?
*
Yes, always refer to IRR. I would prefer to go for VKool 55 over REM 55 if I would have to go to Tint-Shop. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Tik-Tok @ May 25 2017, 12:59 PM)
Dear all,

After reading many Lowyat postings and forum. I had decided to give my input too for the benefit of others. *Sharing is caring* smile.gif)

Currently using Huper Optik for 7 years. After 7 years, no bubbling or dust or whatsover. I would say is good as new.

However, seems there's some mixed review on 3M or Raytech or last but not least Huper Optik. I am finalizing my shots to either 3M or Raytech or Huper Optik. Both 3M and Raytech has similar price range but Huper Optik is middle range.

3M package is
Windscreen front: Crystalline 70
4 side window: Nano 70s (3 mil safety)
Windscreen back: Crystalline 70
Film type: Multilayer optical film
Warranty: 5 years
General IRR: 97%

Pro:
1. Multioptical film is higher range than ceramic
2. 3M installer is direct shop owner. So any complaint can settle easier rather than need to bring to HQ..bla bla bla

Cons:
1. Not quite scratch resistant i.e. kids using toys/keys to hit my window tint
2. Windscreen smart tag issue.

Raytech package is
Windscreen front: Ultra 70
4 side window: Raytech RX (4 mil safety)
Windscreen back: Raytech RC
Film type: Ceramic
Warranty: 7 years
General IRR: 98%

Pro:
1. Heat rejection seems to be better than 3M
2. Malaysia brand but manufactured in USA. So, perhaps you pay lower but get higher quality tint?

Cons:
1. Shops are owned by parent company. Anything need to deal in process...bla bla bla
2. Price slightly higher than 3M even though they are Malaysian brand

Huper Optik package is
Windscreen front: Ceramic 70 / Sech 60
4 side window: Huper Shield 40 (6mil)
Windscreen back: Ceramic 40/Ceramic 50
Film type: Nano Ceramic
Warranty: 5 years
General IRR: 80%

Pro:
1. Tried and tested for 7 years with no problem
2. Nano ceramic is higher spec than ceramic
3. Scratch resistant

Cons:
1. Huper Optik installer is direct shop owner. So any complaint can settle easier rather than need to bring to HQ..bla bla bla
2. Lowest IR compared to 3M and Raytech
This is for my new ride which will arrive next week. Once I settle with this ride, I will be using the same package for my next new ride as I am waiting it to launch..hehe

So the GOLDEN question:
As both 3M and Raytech are of the same range while Huper Optik is RM 500 lesser than both. What do you guys think?

Actually, does having to pay extra RM500 to get the highest IRR i.e. 97%~98% is actually an overkill ? Or having 80% IRR is good enough already? Normally I just park at the office and work but twice in a month will have outstation trips i.e. 5 hours drive

Kindly post your comment. I hope it will help others in my same position too.
*
Thanks bro for this review. I fully agrees with this summary.
Nevertheless, base on my experience, we can hardly negotiate in 3M but its always negotiable with Raytech. I tried Huper Optik and Raytech RX, RX is slightly better.
RM500 is quite subjective where some people would say RM500 is kacang putih, some will says thats alot.

when you park your car at the office, is it a covered car park? or its under the hot sun?

So far I got quoted for

V-Kool Elite for all Windows is RM2800

Raytech RX RM2900 should can get cheaper

Huper Optik RM1900

Still undecided which one to go for.

V-Kool worry bout discoloration and GPS issue, only 5 year warranty.

Raytech RX seems expensive

Huper Optik price lower but heat resistance seems not as good as those two.

3M no quote yet, heard not so scratch resistant.
*
what i can say is that this is not the lowest price yet. try harder.... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Yes, everybrand.
Diamond6 better than Pinnacle in terms of heat rejection.
Never try 3M before due to its not smart tag friendly.

QUOTE(siauann @ Jun 7 2017, 08:14 AM)
can i know why it is advisable to go for SECH 60?

Looking at the specs in the website:-

SECH 60 - VLT 59% IRR 83% TSER 54%
SELECT 75 - VLT 73% IRR 93% TSER 53%
CERAMIC 70 - VLT 71% IRR91% TSER 47%

specs shows that TSER is highest. im not sure how much this 1% difference between the sech60 vs select75. but select75 have highest VLT which is not dark compare to sech60.
*
SECH 60 has lower VLT hence more comfortable for your eyes during day time driving
Human eyes tends to feel the cabin hot when VLT is high.
Bright = Hot for normal users interpretation.

Can we 120% trust those Tint brand info regarding on their TSER, IRR percentage especially those shown in the website?

Highest so far from what found in website, Wingard Regal, 95% IRR and 75% TSER. This is with jpj compliance and no smart tag problem
*
The answer = No.
Unless its proven with TSER test. Too much of scam in the market.
Thats why meter testing before and after is more trustable.
