My guess is the 3M specs that the salesman give you was not the highest IRR comparing to the VKool Elite that you previously installed thats y difference alot.
Other brand tint also have IRR 9x% and performance can say almost same like VKool when freshly installed, only difference is that VKool performance can last at least 5 years, while the other brands dunno performance can last how long

Not mistaken Huper Optik is under same company as VKool, where VKool tint is metallic type tint while Huper Optik is going for ceramic tint

Anyone can recommend a good shop to install 3M, Vkool or Raytech? After browsing this forum for some time, seems like this 3 brands are the best in the market.

A colleague installed it on his new crv, after 2nd rectification still got bubbles. Got fed up and didnt go back to rectify. Mind you this happened only few months ago. Installation was done by bangla apparently at subang outlet I think and he bought black beauty range

After reading this thread for some time, decided to give Totalgard a try.

Given that their workmanship is questionable according to some reviews here and the fact that i'm not based in Klang Valley, it means I will have to make a special trip up again in order for them to rectify any potential issues that may arise in the future.

Is there another installer with more consistent workmanship that I can rely on?

Yes, I do agree on the 3M crystaline heat rejection.
I have my car fully tinted with 3M Crystalline 60 & 40 rest.
I can still feel the heat driving in the hot afternoon, worst if you're in a crawling traffic. Have to full blast aircon.

I went to 3M after many positive reviews on the Crystalline series.

Was quoted 5k for Vkool Elite and 2.5k for Huper Optik. Is Vkool worth the 2.5k premium? My budget is about RM3k but I don’t mind topping up if it’s worth it.

i using 3M crystalline for 4 years++ still very good heat rejection for my Alza . Better than irispro/total gard from my other family member cars . Price wise 3M 2.8k to 3k++ is already very good heat rejection compared to vkool 4k++

After lunch w friend, we walked to our cars parked in the open, i sat in his new X70 w 3M Crystalline asked him why so hot? We then went to my second hand 2016 HRV inside much cooler with the same tint. My friend insisted on his 3M tint authenticity as well.

If genuine, then 3M manufacturer has reduced the performance of their tint within the same range.

i saw many reputable shop promotinh RM199, RM299 kind of tint.
