A good metal based material window film usually last longer and degraded slower

Dear sifu
I'm using Llumatr gold tint for front and back while diamond for security on side for 5 years +

I find my car scorching hot under sun especially the tint on the front and back but not side. Sometime it makes me wonder if I'm getting a fake Llumar despite installing it at authorize center at uptown last time. It's 2k+ if not wrong, but seriously I doubt I will be going back to that brand

Only realizes this after sitting in my friends car same model but different tint. And every one who sits in my car after hot sun sure complaint as if my car aircon is damaged. But checked at workshop, aircon is normal and it's very cold at night

Need some advise, probably looking at front and back windscreen tint replacement that is effective yet smart tag can go thru without violating jpj

Any advise dear expert?

I bought Raytech last few month.
Then my friends recommend IRISPRO.
According to some video through youtube.
I believe their product quality is great.

The reason their price is affordable is because they are not branded.
My next tinted service going to be them.

How did you come to the conclusion highlighted in bold? If you are saying the top of the dashboard feels much hotter than the sides of the window (where Ah Bengs rest their ciggie-holding arms), then there are a few possible reasons from a layman's pov.

1. The angle and huge size of windscreen makes it easier for direct sun to hit the interior of the car, compared to the side of windows
2. VLT for windscreen is usually higher, which makes for lower TSER.
3. The TSER for the Llumar for your car may be lower than the tint in our friend's car. You didn't state the brand, model and VLT of your friend's tint.
4. IIRC, Llumar has a few variants, so you might have picked the lower range?

as far as I can tell, this is the range I'm using for diamond 6 for sides:
VLT 63%
TSER 59%
IR Rejected 97%
UV Rejected 99%
Break Strength 181 lb/inch
Tensile Strength 32,000 lb/inch2
Puncture Strength 111 lb
Thickness 6 mil (150 micron)
Warranty 10 Years
Color Green

Windscreen - Gold tint:
VLT 63%
TSER 43%
IR Rejected 93%
UV Rejected 99%
Warranty 7 Years
Color Green

Yes - i'm comparing newer alternative product around (as well as their spec) to see which are the replacement next

In regards to the bold which you've highlighted - I'm stating that against the average car which I've sat in - on what I feel, compared to the tint I'm having smile.gif
Anyway, you don't have to pick on the words

It's completely true that the TSER for my windscreen tint is very low indeed

Time to look for an upgrade / replacement

Guys, I'm replacing my windscreen soon. Currently using Vkool Elite on my windscreen and facing difficulties to detect the smart tag.

I would like to get some opinion from sifus here, which brand tinted film provide the same heat rejection as Vkool and in the mean time has better smart tag detection?

I personally went to MaxTag office to ask about this, their staff do no recommend 3M. So I am thinking of Raytech, but not sure which model to go with...

Raytech Ultra 70 or Vkool Envirocare or other brands with GOOD heat rejection, smart tag & GPS friendly~?
*
I'm using Raytech Ultra 70 for FWS and no problem with Smart Tag (but must go a bit slower at the toll booth) or GPS or gate remote control.

Guys, i recently just got back my car from an accident.
Now after repair, one of the window has been replaced hence no more tint.
How much approx will it be to tint back just one single window? Previously entire car was tinted with RhinePro
