Just got tinted 3M crystalline whole car with door protector RM 2400 ,

found minor depth 2 inches scratched on the windscreen driver side "can notice when light reflects" , should I go back or I am being to particular ?

You may want to check for more scratches before deciding. Park your car under a street lamp at night to make it easier to spot them

guys,

where can i find tint that is look dark from outside, but from inside is very visible?

raytech and vkool always brag about their heat dispersing technology but they never talk about visibility.

why dark tint always mean low visibility? the technology is still primitive?
*
It's physics. But I suppose there's a difference in clarity between good films and cap ayam for the same darkness.

Smart tag got stolen a few months ago, now on RFID/TnG so no issues there.

Looking to get max heat rejection, thanks for the recommendation! Will look into it

Just fyi, I was told by my RFID tag installer that certain tint films have metal content that affects RFID.

RFID label is installed on headlamp, second option is on exterior front windscreen, unless you special request tint on interior front windscreen. Theoretically speaking, even RFID is installed on interior front windscreen, normal film won't affect the function, unless your film with high metal ingredient. However, the installer doesn't want to have any after service trouble, so they don't want to do it.

I think you can ask them for testing when you install the RFID.

I installed on my ws because my headlamps are tinted with protective film.
My installer die die refused to stick on inside of ws, due to security reason, so had to stick outside of ws.

It's the metal content on solar film i was referring to. Apparently, some metallic film will affect the RFID even when the receiver is pasted outside of ws.

Edit: they did test with handheld scanner before sticking.

Hi all. Going to apply tinted on my New City.
Any recommendations? My last purchase was 3M crystalline but that was 5-6 years ago, kinda out of date with current trend.

My requirement will be reject as much as heat as possible, perhaps 40% darkness, and safety feature.
Thanks guys.

Using 3m crystalline with scotschshield (spelling?) for 4 windows. The best tint film I've ever used. Will not hesitate to use again if I change car.

Any review for RhinePro tint? 15 years warranty for the diamond series i was informed. Price wise is comparable to 3M crystalline series.

Never heard of this brand. I'm having Crystalline on my car and I'm loving it.

Too long a warranty usually rings my alarm bell. Just like tilam with its 10~15-year-warranty, you might want to read its T&C.

Thanks for the feedback mate.

A quick google shows the film do origin from USA. Well that checks out. Was given a demonstration at the shop and the heat rejection was pretty good. The only thing that bothers me from getting it right now is the unknown of how long the film will last albeit the longer than usual duration of warranty given. Degradation of heat rejection yearly is covered in the warranty too. Will look into detail of the T&C of the warranty before decide later.

Like a tilam i purchased, a "sinking" of less than 5cm is not considered defective.

Even if defective, for first year they will repair foc but customer pays for transportation iirc. How much they charge for transportation is anyone's guess. Anything over one year, they charge you 10% of retail price per year, on top of transportation. I ended up buying a new tilam to replace this tilam which started sinking after 3 years.

Wonder worth getting the 3m tint.... unless open window n wave smarttag outside

My car is using 3M. This dotted part of the windscreen (photo from internet) is not covered because the film will not be able to stick well and may affect the rest (according to the installer). So I just place my smart tag there when passing toll booth.

Thinking to tint my camry, but i want a rfid and smart tag friendly tint, any brand should i go for?

I'm using 3M Crystalline series. It doesn't affect RFID (pasted outside of windscreen), it doesn't affect condo access card, but it affects Smart Tag.

I'll still choose 3M if I tint my next car. It's been 6 years and the tint still performs like Day 1 (but my car is parked in sheltered car park at home and at work).

Authorized installer gave me a quote of rm2.8k for 3m crystaline. What is the promo price?

Just for your reference. Did mine in 2018 for RM2700. Honda City.

3M Crystalline all round except for the front 2 windows using Scotshield (security tint).
