Hope the Raytech and/or V-Cool rep here can answer my query...

Under the new JPJ 2018 rules, min. VLT still at 70 front/50 front sides/30 rear sides and rear?

Under your product line-up, what's the darkest tint that can pass the new ruling and can get the barcode sticker?

Please advise notworthy.gif

Add: 1 thing I find funny, my previous car tinted by Llumar, they actually tinted my whole car with VLT 50 tints...which basically means my front windscreen tint cannot pass JPJ/Puspakom, yet they gave my JPJ warranty on my invoice rclxub.gif

Hi bro, thanks for your inquiry. In Raytech, all of our products can pass the latest JPJ requirements. But the QR code stickers will be issued for customer in 2018 only.

Darkest tint of Raytech products can pass the new ruling:
Windscreen: Ultra 70, Q70, M70, F70, A70
Driver side windows: RX, QX, MX, FX, AX
Rear passenger windows: RX(Black), QX(Black), MX(Black), FX(Black), AX(Black)
Rear Screen: RC(Black), QC(Black), MC(Black), FC(Black), AC(Black)

It's depending on your budget bro smile.gif

my suggestion would be hold on as i also read about the new tinting policy with effect from 2018 where the specified tint would have a barcode and the jpj can scan the barcode to get the level of darkness... i think its something like this

in terms of heat rejection, crystalline 40 or 50 compare to V-Kool 55, 40 or 30

hi, tinting car any where will not get warranty void.

At least you send back service maintenance & repair at Authorized workshop, warranty still valid.

like car tyre, you can change tyre at any where, it does not related to car warranty.

you also can refer to :

Thanks!

FYI, the new rules only applicable on the car registered on 1st Jan 2018 onwards.

You can consider

V-Kool Elite/70 for front
V-Kool 55, 40 or 30 for side and rear

For some unknown reason, Llumar tint is not that good as it advertised.
There are some videos showing the BTU meter read and Llumar had low score - at first I don't believe it and I really think that is the case.

I am having a Raytech and I feel the heat rejection is quite good - 3m crystalline is a better one though

If not on website, then it is probably house brand.

They will convince you by telling you this is a "sub product", pending launch, or even for overseas only.

Beware. I suggest you directly go to a few HO shop to survey. Call no use

Beware, i just aware that this is actually not Huper Optik. There's no black optic series is Huper Optik line up. This is actually Rich Cool, Deluxe 40 and Black Optik 6mil safety is definitely a house brand. I suggest you go for a much reputable brand like Raytech, V-Kool or 3M. icon_rolleyes.gif

If workmanship is good, you may not get bubble. However, the heat rejection may not last as long as better brands (products). People may tell you that their cost is actually low and house brands don't charge you that much, so they are cheaper. It make sense, but you get what you pay for..

No problem man! but if you really interested in Huper Optik brand because they use Ceramic based material as compared to traditional dye and metalised material, i suggest you can contact shaguarbb/ steven as he is trusted dealer of Huper Optik https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3477729
