Thanks lowpro. I wasn't aware that we need to stick to the service interval of "whichever comes first" with the French. Having owned Japanese cars all my life, this was never a problem.

Who are you referring to as "dealer" ? The SC ?

nasim has their own service centres like ipoh, plentong, glenmarie, puchong, balakong and kuching. juru used to be nasim's own but it has been converted to citroen already. the rest of the service centres are dealers.

Ok. Understood. So if we want to be safe about warranty claims, we should just stick to those Nasim service centres then.

yes they are!!! terribly stingy and they stick to details. warranty claim miss one document, the whole claim is thrown out. and usually, it is dealers who submit incomplete documents or submit late (till there is no time to resubmit). here's a bit of expose. sometimes when a customer's warranty claim gets rejected by automobiles peugeot due to incomplete paperwork, the dealer will usually pin the blame on nasim to the customer. so, the customer usually comes off with a nasty aftertaste about nasim the franchise holder.

by the way, the japanese don't care if you service based only on mileage even though their t&c for warranty is same around the world with the europeans but for the french especially, you have to service EITHER by mileage OR by time. no 2 ways about it.

Wah.....I know French are stingy...But never know its to this extreme....Thanks lowpro....

So how like that??? How do i know my service time is up??? Coz i always ONLY see the mileage. Can it be set to into our MFD or something??? So that there is a reminder of the time coming to service??? My concern is if i dont drive it often, so the mileage dont go up BUT the time to next service is still running. Hard to keep track of time leh.....

not necessarily lah. some dealers are decent. just that sometimes, they don't pay for their parts and have their accounts blocked, then they will get stuck and blame nasim for not stocking parts. when in fact, there are parts.

usually there will be a sticker stating your last service on your windscreen. just see 6 months from that date.

the thing about AP's warranty is like this. even if you park your car and not move it for 6 months, you will STILL have to service it.

Any ideas if replacing smashed side window glass outside will void warranty?

Would be a real convenience if it had that. What I normally do is to set reminders on my phone which is synced to everywhere. biggrin.gif
Of course this is for all other stuff, like reminders to pay the bills, renew license, etc. Same principle can be used for this too.

I personally feel servicing the car even when it's not used is important. My bro has a Waja that was left unused for months. When I finally took it out one day, there were so many creaking noises everywhere from the suspension and the engine was sluggish. One service and some greasing.....followed by a long drive fixed that.

Peugeot Malaysia should build a sms blasting system. Blast to all the owners a reminder on when the service is due. Hahahahah. That would be awesome.

That's a good idea. I get SMS and phone calls from Toyota whenever service is due.

actually, they'r working on it. it is a time based system. so, in the car, you have your mileage counter and the SMS should let you know when the time is near.

I also sent in a compliment letter to clic for a Glenmarie SA, relatively new, for his extra effort on my service last week. I was on the way driving back when he called me informing me that someone (security?) saw my bonnet was not closed tight. He advised me to pull over and close it tight.

Today I saw him again, as I sent in another car today, he said he received a compliment letter from the company.
