why 2.0 so expensive one?

I just spent a whole day at CSL yesterday for my 30k service which cost me 430+ only. i really cannot comprehend why 10.8k for 408 2.0 which is even more than 8.9k for 508

Will be going back to kota damansara service center this sat. Some items needed fixing. After 5 days of driving the car, I would say that the 6spd gearbox is definitely not silky smooth. Should I get it checked?

Clarifying the gearbox comment by myself:

- When accelerating, the car feels great, no doubt.
- Until reaching 3rd or 4th gear however, the car feels a bit reluctant a bit "loose". When driving in tiptronic mode then there is no such feeling.
- When slowing down quickly, the car feels reluctant to drop gears sometimes, resulting in a bit of dragging.
- When changing speeds regularly (fast/slow/fast/slow), the car is sometimes reluctant to drop gears, and sometimes reluctant to engage the next gear.
- When starting off from a standstill (0-30kph range), the car feels reluctant to increase its speed when gradually applying pressure to the accelerator. Again, no such problem in tiptronic mode.

Today, the engine kept its RPM at about 4-5k for a while even after i let go of the accelerator pedal. Anyone else experienced this before? I think the car did slow down though... Not entirely certain what happened... Will see if it happens again.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble. Just curious about the normal behaviour of the 408 turbo. On the whole I am happy with the car. And also I am not really a car person and don't know much, so I may be mistaken or ignorant about many things here...

2.1K is the total service price, out of which 1.3K is for ATF. 1.3K just for ATF is still pretty high. Bro lowpro might have some inside knowledge on this. May be he can enlighten us!

Altis and Civic no match for our 408t in power,handling and feel. I was shocked how cheap Civic's dashboard looked. The plastic looked and felt cheap! Focus may have better acceleration than 408NA. Although both cars are about equally powered, Pug may be heavier and response from power shift GB of Focus is better than our CVT.  Interesting to note, you feel the handling of Focus is not as good as 408t.

Of course it is not equal field to compare THP with NA. But I feel price bracket is an important issue. It boils down to finally what you are getting for the money! This is where the 408t is supreme,beats all competitors hands down! I can understand 408T being your 1st choice,go for it!

Air-con on the Pug is not that strong. It does take quite a while before it gets cold,especially on a hot sunny day. A good tint helps.

Actually I also confused already la. I thought that was a new design but didn't find any info. On searching more, found this. This is the facelift. No idea is NAZA will bring this.

So if the new design is to come in the future, that will be great. 3 - 4 years from now I'll be ready to change to that. However like I said, I could not find any more info. For all we know it may be just a design in the books. In which case too bad, cos it's such a beauty!

That's great and just fine. 3 years is about the time I would like to look for a new ride. Anyway apart from just new clothes,I also want to see engine innovations. Very keen on turbo diesels.

You seem very fixated to change your filter. Why,is the original filter not good?

lots of waiting at traffic lights will increase FC and highway in/ highway out will be a total animal altogether

The drop in just a plug & play item. Will it really void the warranty?? Shouldnt it make the car run smoother and better since im giving it a better breathing filter?? Actually i plan to buy a new drop in and keep the old one. So when time to go service i replace back the old one myself. Hahahahhahah.

Does anyone know where is can get the metal plate for my left foot?? I dont know what is it called. Its like out brake and accelerator pedal, but to put on the left side. Right now the left side is just the fabric. I dont want to dirty the fabric there.

Just to relate an experience, Delkor battery died during CNY holiday second day. Peugeot care line quoted almost RM600 for replacement inclusive RM95 for labour!

Century battery did it at RM290

My 1.6T run at 14 L / 100km when new
after 1 st 10 K service = 10 L  / 100km
after 2nd 20K service = 7.8 L / 100km

Shah Alam to Johor =  burn RM 40 + of fuel @ 110 km/h ( some stretch was run @ 180 km/h following a Rang rover )

Shah Alam to Ipoh =Burn RM 30 + of fuel normally @ 110km/h to 130 km/h

so, high speed don't burn much fuel, slow speed does.
