Truth to be said, i used industrial thinner for my kits, and it turns allright, as long you dont pour the pure thinner right to the plastic. My brother soaked a *ahem* zaku on a can of thinner, and the color fade away.

QUOTE(chriswoo @ Dec 20 2013, 10:06 AM) Hi guys well normally i avoid koto kits especially Virtual-On series too many parts and lot of decal work but good experience. Haha if kena Five Star Stories one lagi mafan. Mine last time commissioned for RM 480; the modeler did mention should he know the kit is that mafan he will charge more hahahabout the standard price commission as could be vary depends how hardwork you involve in the kits but more better discuss privately for the cost with the client where more reasonable price judge from your skill work and client agreement |

Can i use tamiya clearcoat (for polycarbonate use) for Gundam? Got some left over and such a waste to throw it away.

bro, test it on the runners... see if has the results that you wanted.. the piece marker (where u read the A runner / B-runner etc) will give you better view as well.
hope this helps. |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Dec 20 2013, 10:28 AM) Ya, it's really watery. problem is, the chemical compound in the silver marker will dissolve the dried paint. so to overlay silver/gold/anything similar, better use brush(with a light touch). But when I first apply the first coat, i will check that whether the surface good or not. Then I tried to apply again (maybe 2~3 minutes later), then the first coat got pushed away (kinda like cement already), haha .. Still noob though .. |
