List of best RPGs from AndroidCentral

http://www.androidcentral.com/best-android-rpgs

For the record, GOF2 and Swordbrothers are most definitely NOT RPGs. But they did mention Shadowrun (IMHO the best "native" TRPG on Android) so it's fine lol.

And the Bard's Tale is hilarious.

They did miss a few good ones like all the FF ports, Adventure Bar Story and Star Traders though. And of course the SDL converted greats like GemRB and JA2. Still waiting for XCOM to float over from the App Store though.

GOF2 is superb eye candy though tongue.gif

Yeah they should put in Star Traders. I don't think GemRB ports would qualify since they're emulated.

XCom via DosBox should be usable, though I haven't tried.

A selection of wireless chargers for those who really want to try it

http://comingmore.com/wireless-chargers-for-nexus-5-4-7/

These are the charging pads......no mention of receiving coils though, since they are reviewed for the Nexus family with built in coils.

Most coils are available for around RM30-60 from China.

Be aware that charging is at only 460mA (as experienced by me and various other forumers here and XDA).

Damn. These are low quality ones. If you want better charging rate and quality one better go and prepare RM300 at least only go out and buy. For me I'd rather use the cable. Cuz I use my phone all the time and if I use the wireless charger I need to hold the wireless charger as well. yawn.gif
BTW can I not clean install to update from DN3 v2 to DN3 v3.1
I'm thing of installing from existing DN3v2>DN3v3.1>DN3v3.1 OTA Update.
Any idea guys? I too lazy to titanium backup all the time.

What do you mean by >RM300 are the better ones? Do they give higher charge inputs? Some examples?

A very good post and I completely agree with the author

Has Technology Become a Disposable Commodity?
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/has-...able-commodity/

No longer are devices durable. Rather, they have gone entirely to the other end of the spectrum and have become practically disposable. I simply cannot believe that a $500-1000 USD item becomes “irreparable.” Product design basics dictate that any engineered product is designed to have a certain life expectancy under normal conditions, tear, and wear, and even leave some leeway for accidents. If products need repair, they should be perfectly serviceable by the manufacturer without having to charge the consumer exorbitant amounts of money to get the product back in working order.
.............

Make the world a better place through the application of science? That is what product engineering should be about. Squeezing every last drop of sweat over your own design and making sure that you put your very best efforts into making something that people will have for years (not months) to come is what every engineering company should strive for. Unfortunately, this was quickly replaced with “ooh, look how shiny this new toy is,” which is then followed by “oh, your old one? pfft That is so 3 months ago…. you won’t get two pennies for it on eBay, and don’t even think about repairing it.”

We as consumers have allowed these companies to throw basic engineering practices out the window so that they can squeeze more juice out of us.
....
If I have to choose between a phone that is 0.0001 mm thick but that will break upon looking at it without any way to fix it or my old 5110, I’ll take my old Nokia any day of the week. At least, that has engineering at heart.

I'm impressed with phoenix rom, in term of performance and battery usage. Definitely this will be my first choice for TW based rom.

#trying omnirom now.

Don't think it's an issue with the charging pad, but perhaps the receiving coil and how the phone controls the current. I don't know how that behaves.

I tried a no-wipe flash from v1, won't get past boot screen. You could try a no-wipe from v2 and see.

i have my eyes (and wallet) set on Asus Transformer T100 instead. Windows 8.1. keyboard dock. MS Office Home & Student. extra 500GB harddisk. rm1399. wink.gif

and

rm1399. way cheaper than note 3... and also cheaper than note 2... heh heh...

played with one demo unit i saw at Digital Mall. actually, quite impressive. the pen works like note... can hover. i guess wacom technology...

it was quite smooth scrolling from screen to screen. but din really test further like play games, etc...

but even though its got 2 front speakers, they were kinda horrible. could hardly hear a thing.

ya, agreed on GoF being RPG.

and yes, no mention of Square Enix games. and Zenonia & Chaos Ring is just 'honaorable mention'? not to mention, i think lots of Kempco games are good RPGs.

last time, i heard Battleheart had very lousy response/ update from Developer. not sure if that has changed.

the Legend series... having tried Pocket, Star and also Dark, i felt they were more like Hack & Slash. oh well, its all a matter of opinion.

i got my San Disk 64GB Class 10 from ipmart. it was a good deal abt 2 months back. i know some will think its overkill, but considering that you can do a lot with Note 2 (watch movies, play games, record fullHD video), it's something worth considering. plus, they come with adaptor that lets you plug into other devices, including laptop. but ya, hassle taking it in/ out of the phone. but at least if your phone breaks, you can still use it for other things. digital camera too. smile.gif

A bloody full shell... God. I'll at least need a full HW keyboard to make any use of all that power, and even then I'll probably only use it like 10% of the time anyway. Reminds me of the old days with my N900 and it's terminal, back than I had to use emacs (which I had to compile on my own, on device) to even have Japanese input.

But now, much like everyone else I'm pretty much spoiled by GUI, especially on a device I use 90% of the time, and especially when nearly everything I need to do is already well served with android native apps.

I'll prolly do a Backtrack or Kali chroot later for the heavy stuff - at least I can use it for network auditing as well if need be.
