Hello All; my 2 year old samsung phone went KO and I am contemplating to get the Sony Xperia ZL or Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I am a multimedia person, so camera and loudspeaker must be GOOD/LOUD.
I know this is an old post and I also know Sony will upgrade its Xperia line to 4.3 which I do not mind waiting. I also read there was a recent firmware upgrade.
BUT, can some of you share with me the camera/video capture on the ZL. I like to take pic w/o using flash - ie. low light performance must be good.

his photo skills not bad, i guess the camera isnt BAD but it depends how the photographer snaps it.. (settings, positioning, lighting, etc)

it happens everywhere lah bro..
even iphones have cracked screens.. it all depends how the user use it.. if they consistently drop ofcuz screen crack mah

i flashed the leaked 4.3 the other day... this also happens. when i press the power button, screen does not turn on.. lol

i don't think we can customize the soft button. the soft button design come with the theme by developer. i don found any function to custom soft button unless change theme.
Would android device manager work if the phone gps and data turned off or phone is turned off?

you can leave GPS on anyway..
it will not drain battery when not in used..
since the s2 days the GPS chip is already like that.. now 90% of phones all use this smart GPS chip. when they need = only it will be in used when no need = its on standby
can check battery stats, GPS will not be in used unless needed.. even when its enabled.
before update to 4.3(and wipe all data),i backup to pendrive connect via otg cable. after update,cannot restore the backup file..anyone experienced this?looks like no solution for this.
for previous update,i backup-restore using pcc,but it doesn't replace the installed apps at all.
did you try to give a fresh restart? since you already backup all your things. hard reset it and see if u can still restore after that.
