12/15 build?

i find it very stable including the wifi, unlike 4.3 where it has so many problems..
only thing is cannot tether, but not that important for me now..

also, flash 4.4.2 gapps from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/gxxxpkbcke...ficial_Releases

then only modify the dialer with the zip provided on above post

Yes no longer exist. But can always restore as long as you got backup your TA partition

Long time already working bro.
Now also working on 4.4.2

now can update the xposed installer itself within the app already, getting better and better..

xposed + offical CM11 = your own custom rom.

so far CM11 build as of 12/15 + PA stock gapps 4.4.2.zip = good

- got proper sleep, goes into deep sleep when it should..
- no wifi bug like 4.3.1 where you cannot connect properly after you off wifi for quite awhile
- no "android OS" battery drain bug like the other 4.4 roms
- battery is quite ok, ofcuz wont be as good as stock, but still good.
- default battery stats also no bug, other 4.4 roms ppl report that its always "active", but on BBS it says phone went into deep sleep.


only thing you need to do is to flash the dialer zip if you want the "yellow pages" style kinda dialer , posted few posts back.

the only bug that still exist till today is wifi tethering, its funny that only certain builds will have this problem fixed. all depends on your luck..

and im using xperia z.

stock 4.3 cannot update at first eh?

some new stuff we can see from android 4.4.x

1. "yellow pages" dialer, can even directly navigate if you wish . just showing one example:

(need to flash a different zip tho, as CM removed this feature.. not sure why)


2. tablet UI settings with pure black background, i find it to be more matching for tablet UI. (background modified with gravitybox):



3. hangouts SMS in tablet UI once again, and also new emoji from android 4.4:



4. new contact UI (again in tablet UI):





5. not really from 4.4, but from xposed (a security feature since we dont have removable batteries, this module does come very very handy! ):

- assuming someone tried to press "Power Off" or "Reboot" while screen is in lockscreen (with password or pattern lock or slide)

- this will be shown instead :

(the dev said he will update soon with disabling Airplane mode from changing as well )

kit kat stock rom? still got long time to go

focus on 4.3 first..

test with viewing some pics on the album app..

see if there are color changes or not..

the best way to know is..

1. enable BE2 in settings
2. screenshot facebook app (the header with that facebook blue_
3. view it in album app


A. if it changes to some other weird blue, means bootloader is locked with your TA partition restored
B. if its still the same facebook blue (no weird blue), then bootloader is locked without restored TA partition. (or bootloader is unlocked with stock rom)

most likely just replace..

but make sure its still water-resistant after you got it back..
cuz many previous case ppl complain phone straight die after repairing.. after putting into the water..

due to not being closed properly, water can enter..

are you rooted?

if you are install quicksupport from teamviewer

then install teamviewer to your laptop

after that remote connect to your phone through the quicksupport app via teamviewer on desktop

it shouldnt lag much if your connection is fast.

but you MUST be rooted in order to give root permissions

hmm, you can still try, see if u can access without root access..

becuz the app itself requested for root access.. see if it doesnt need

no problems with my wifi..

jumped from stock > AOSP > stock > AOSP all the time.. no issues.

should be that person's router problem. not the phone.

try to check the serial build number at the bottom too...

cuz certain build numbers got certain problems..

the only one i rmb here posted by andrewtst was that there was 1 batch that has the back cover problem
then another batch has camera dots (more frequent) than the rest...

so far mine has no issues, and i hope it stays that way!!!

im pretty sure both of u use it differently

even though got similar configuration, he might've used it longer than you.. (as in SOT)

means he's running a deodex stock rom.. since he can modify the volume key function..

definitely different liao... although stock and same config, but certain system files have been changed


btw, have you checked if we received 4.3 today? (xperia z).. im currently on AOSP
cant check.

you already said he can take pics with volume key.. so he definitely deodexed his rom liao..

and apply mods, therefore changes in how the system behaves..

plus i already mentioned, he definitely used it differently than you..

im sure both of you will not

- use the phone for the same purpose
- maybe he uses the data more than you (whatsapp, fb, surf net, etc)
- so on

same rom/kernel but stock rom can be deodexed

sigh, cant wait to go back stock..

unlocked BL to try out 4.4 for a few weeks.. now cant wait for stock, i hope it can be arrived before christmas, i need to take nice pics quality
