Usually bios chip is just like a flash ROM.

Hue that dont sound good. Cant seem to find any other distinguishable chip with labeling.

Could be looking at the wrong place, any advice?

Fintek F71899AD is some sort of hardware monitoring chip.

And bios chip usually is like the one showing in the beginning of the link, a flash chip.

planning to get a alienware 15 base model soon...but need some expert advice from u guys...first of all, my reason for getting aw 15 is its durable and soli,compared to the laptop im using now (see my siggy)

1. is it good time to buy now? knowing that the gtx970m is getting dated day by day, should i just use my z5 until early next year and wait for next gen nvidiagpu and intel cpu alienwares? coz i dont know but research says next gen nvidia is either end of this year or next year.

2. anyone bought from itking b4? his price seems very good, and according to him, it is dealer price.

any advice would be much appreciated..sooner or later, ill board the mothership thanks in advance

ps: i plan to sell my z5 first then nie upgrade

I think you need to concern more on GTX 970m will bring you any gaming performance boost over GTX 860m.
I mean, definitely GTX 970m is better. But is it better in terms of the game you play.

If yes, just upgrade.

If like you said, you want to wait for next gen nvidia GPU, looks like GTX 860m serve you well and you can wait for that. Well, if you can wait for next gen. Why not next next gen? Hahaha.. Hope you get what I mean.

i think u dunno aw15 cant upgrade gpu other than the external rite

i know i saw mc_square gpu upgrades packages and prices..not bad aw can upgrade easily altough quite pricey
