Hi Guys, I have an alienware m17xr2 that has been causing some issues. The latest issue I have is that I can't turn it on. Any good laptop repair specialist for alienware you guys can recommend? My laptop is already out of warranty.

Wouldn't want to just send it to any 'Laptop Repair Specialist' as they do sloppy work from missing screws to broken brackets and lousy workmanship.

we have a different view on this. the main concern to me is the continuous issues in other brands regarding parts warranty support. i have had some cases with local distributors that gave me nonsense that i was not told up front, even if i tried to communicate with them proactively before those outcomes (only to hit their silence walls on many occasions).

dell support saved me a lot of time and frustrations when there were issues in the past. instead of asking me to do carry-in and after that wait for months with unknown status, they come and deal with issues with good and right parts.

without the above, i might agree that aw is overpriced.

i'm having a problem with my AW17. Every once in a while when i'm using it, there will be one sound like "tik". and the will be some sort of "lag" after that. it happen periodically, during normal usage and gaming. when in gaming, i cant control anything for a few second, then it goes back to normal. during normal usage, the symptom like explorer not responding. i cant click anything (mouse still can move tho). Any idea whats the problem? tq

i have two disk, 1 ssd (for os) and 1 sshd. how to check which one is the problem?

if i were to get a clevo, i wanna run dgpu all the way. it's best if there is no optimus in these laptops. if it's there, is there any options to turn it off for good? (like in aw, we can switch the modes between igpu and dgpu with an fn key combo, e.g. fn+f5 for aw18)
