Haha, i'm ex Taylor's College student, i still remember 10 years ago my room rental rate is around 500-600 alr in ss15 without air cond some more sweat.gif so i'm agree that spending power of rich student bought up the commercial and rental, cyberjaya we only depends with LKW student instead of MMU, if compare their spending power, as far as i know LKW student willing rent the whole soho, studio in 1500++ for own stay sweat.gif

But i believe Taylor's student quality is much better than LKW's.

I always believe working ppl > student in terms of spending power.
Anyday.

This is just my pov yea.

Back to my initial point, this will make cyber more into students' city. Kind of defeat the "dream target" of many own stayers around cyber.

Own stayer will definitely spend more
own stayer doesnt come and go( well atleast up to few years)
own stayer will keep the place better

Not abt spending power alone

in fact domain maintenance seem worst than cyberia.. pity those owner who bought domain. i heard someone share with me before he bought his domain and shaftsbury same time around the same price some more, but at this moment bank value for domain is 300k+ shaftsbury is 400k+

There'll be alot own stay for landed prop in cyber actually, but confirm very rare in domain, cyberia, but i heard serin, d melor alot is own stay also..

As far as I know, this is not something new. Probably new to your uni but there's referral program in education industry for long time already. Many company also do referral program for their staff, it's just another way of recruiting and it's one of the effective way. There's people out there that refer students all these while, just like head hunters...

Fyi, I'm planning to move to Cyberjaya when my unit is ready.

I think there's clear differentiation for which developments will attract more students. Cyberia. Domain, Mutiara Ville (early Phase), The Arc, Main Place, etc.

For own stay, as long as students don't give trouble it should be fine. Anyway, those buying for own stay will normally go for higher end bigger build up condo or landed. For me it will not be an issue to stay in a city which has many students. Just for example since it was mentioned, SS15 residents still stay happily in their own house. Same here, Cyberjaya has so many development which is suitable for own stay. I'm more than happy if the population grows and the business here prosper so that as a resident there, I can have more options to shop & dine, all within Cyberjaya.

In Areca masterplan, there's also a medical centre. That will be at SH & Sejati residence doorstep. All this proposed stuff, good to hear only for now. Wait till they start construction only take it as confirmed location.
