oh.that's great la. thanks for the info!

btw, is gtx 670 same as gtx 770? would it better than gtx 760? because I saw the price of gigabyte gtx 670 oc 2gd5 is rm999 almost same as leadtek gtx 760 oc 4gb5.

thanks

the gtx 770 is more like successor to the 680 , while the gtx 760 is almost as fast as the 670 albeit the latter is slightly faster. Unless you're running at resolution more than 1080P, you don't need the extra 2gb of video memory. I suggest get the Leadtek gtx 760 OC 2GB or zotac 760 amp! which are among the fastest 760 out there.

oh. I running 2 monitors, 1 is 1440x900(maybe change to 1920x1080 to match another monitor), 1 is 1920x1080. so both for 2gb is enough right?

becoz my local shop have no leadtek 760 oc 2gb, only have 4gb option. that's why either i go for the gigabtye 670 2gb or this leadtek 760 oc 4gb. rclxub.gif

thanks for the suggestion. appreciated. nod.gif

yup 2GB is enough, If you can get the 670 for under 1k then I suggest go for that one.

Guys want to ask something, Im currently running a Hexa 500W PSU and below are my specs, just wondering if it's possible to add another SSD?

i5 4440 3.1G
Asus B85M-G
2 x GSkill 8GB RAM
GTX 760 Leadtek

WD 3.5 1TB HDD
Kingston 120G V300+ SSD
DVD Rom

Feel like adding another SSD. Is it possible?

That mobo is 70 ringgit expensive than the mobo in my recommended Intel rig..and it even has PCIE2.0 instead of 3.0.. tongue.gif
The i3 4130 is 0.2 weaker than the AMD FX6350..but the Intel CPU has lower power consumption than the FX6350,54W vs 124W. biggrin.gif http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/356/AMD_F...i3_i3-4130.html
Top up 90 ringgit can get you Core i3 4330 3.5Ghz which is 0.2 better than FX6350. biggrin.gif http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/358/AMD_F...i3_i3-4330.html
Nah the GPU won't bottleneck the CPU and vice versa. You can't oc the Intel CPU i recommended because 1.It doesn't have the "K" at the back. 2.No Z87 Mobo. 3.You need a air cooler/liquid cooler because if u don't have it,you'll be cooking a "Fried CPU".  laugh.gif

Learning about PC Hardware's fun..im still learning about OCing and SSD Raid etc, just know the basic of those 2. tongue.gif  smile.gif

currently got a 600+ W PSU and ati 5770, won't be gaming anymore yawn.gif

was using a crappy e2180 with 2GB ram and a mobo which doesn't support OC .

can suggest some more valuable config, i might be willing to stretch my budget smile.gif

hmm.gif The i3 4130 is 80 ringgit cheaper than FX6300,110 ringgit cheaper than FX6350.I'd just top up 130 from the price of FX6300 and get i5 4440.. icon_idea.gif brows.gif tongue.gif
Imo,getting the i3 is better..or top 210 and get an i5. smile.gif

CPU:Intel Core i3 4130 3.4Ghz RM369
Mobo:Asus B85M-G RM279
RAM:Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz RM129
Total:RM777
Prices are from Viewnet.
You can try to sell your CPU,mobo and Ram for around 180-300 to cover the "overbudget" total. icon_idea.gif smile.gif

Haha, ikr. Btw, how much vram do I really need? I only run 1 monitor at 1080p so 2gb more than enough rite? I think 1gb also ok, but 2gb more futureproof la. And R9 270X vs Radeon Hd 7870 ? 270X pretty much a rebranded 7870 rite..which one is better in terms of price performance ratio and do u know the price of 7870?

At least 2GB for 1080p. tongue.gif
270X is a rebranded HD7870XT, not the HD7870. The HD7870XT utilizes Tahiti GPU, which is the one found on higher-end HD7900 series GPU (HD7950/HD7970), albeit it's a lower binned one. tongue.gif

R7 250 should give you very strong framerates in 1080p at High Settings. Make sure you get the GDDR5 version though.

Actually in terms of performance, yes the 270X is sort of a replacement for HD 7870 XT.

But it is not a rebrand for HD 7870 XT per se, since the 270X is based on the same Pitcairn GPU as the previous HD 7870 (not XT variant which uses Tahiti LE), but now renamed as Curacao. It receives a higher clock and memory speed, that's all.

Personally I'd suggest against a 24 inch monitor due to the price jump between 23 inch is pretty big. Not to mention the price given could buy you an 27 inch 1440p monitor from Ebay...

If you have no intentions of overclocking... Consider this:

i5 4440-RM589
ASUS B85M-G-RM279
Kingston 1x8GB Value RAM-RM239
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM189
Gainward GTX770 Phantom-RM1199 (lingloong@Garage Sales)
Seasonic S12II 620W PSU-RM285
Corsair Carbide 200R casing-RM219
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM60
Dell P2314H-RM699
Plextor M5S 128GB-RM299 (Hikari85@Garage Sales)
Total: RM4057

Prices from Viewnet.
