1. storage baracuda ok? or shud i go for the WD black 1TB rm270 >> SSD is way beyond budget
2. memory how? 2x4gb? or 1x8gb? normal card only unless do i really need to get that very good looking cards?
3. PSU corsair ok or not? other option is Xigmatek Centauro bronze 600w rm339
4. this is some item i can get and find in my place here, other than that i need to do some online ordering from KL

I want use it for slight editing, and ofcourse high to ultra gaming.

What is latest among the two?: xeon or i7? Considering something for future safe upgrade so i can retain the mobo and will just change cpu in the future...

Both 4770 and E3 are of haswell (2013) architecture, which is still Intel's latest offering (broadwell coming soon in another few month time, but it isn't a concern here).

IMO, the "better" is negligible here. You get 0.1Ghz faster clock rate and IGP (integrated graphic, HD4600) for the RM100+, which isn't worth in our opinion. It will be another story if you say you gonna be overclock the CPU, then no choice but to top up and get a i7 4770k (and also a Z77 board). But again, you said you won't be overclock, so it isn't really a concern to you. Xeon is good enough.

If you want hard core gaming in high-ultra setting, better save as much as you can from CPU, MOBO, RAM and so on, so you can get the most powerful GPU that is within your budget (minimumly a R9 280x)..

So if no better you buy CM V1000 80+ gold? Is 800w not enough for cf 290 tri x?  But 800w or 750 enough lah for single r9 290 tri x?

Hi guys, I need suggestion on a rig+monitor (practically whole set of desktop)

Budget : 4000 + 100

Purpose : gaming and a little for office work plus photo editing

softwares that use frequently : photoshop and autocad

Your built is probably the best within his budget.

There are also Zotac, Gainward and Palit that having non-reference GTX760 under RM900.

Also, most of the reference GTX760 is only at RM799.

Ow so i7 4770 is still better... ok then final is i7. Haisst why should i overclock or why shouldn't i overclock... does overclocking have a big difference? Or i7 4770 is ok lah for normal editing and gaming???
