I have just tried this fuel and find that it really sucks. I read that the techron can clear old gunk but after using I find worst fuel I have ever tried. Not smooth at all, makes my wira stutter and very difficult to start car. Fuel economy also bad.

Anyday, I will go back to Petron or petronas way smoother and better fuel economy.

Anybody also same experience when using this fuel?

i found out that caltex station fuel quality seemed to be vary severely!!
i pump at 1 caltex station (taman sejati indah sp),
engine become very powerful and good fc...

but another caltex station (taman legenda sp) about 15 mins from the 1st caltex station, their petrol is totally CRAP!!
no power at all when accelerating, need to floor my pedal down to increase speed on the highway while the first caltex just need to press the pedal as light as feather... doh.gif

so is the 2nd station doing something funny or simply dirty underground fuel reservoir?

i din see that much different in other brand like shell, BHP,Petronas

Same here. Would pump Caltex every once in a while for their Techron cleansing additive. Otherwise it's BHP for their Euro 3 petrol.

In my opinion it does not happen to only Caltex alone and this isn't really about the brand but more to the operator.

so what should we do about it?
complain to caltex HQ or the kementerian?
obviously there is major difference between fuel quality, and i smell strong fuel-like smell after pumping petrol at that problematic caltex station..

Not the first time i wrote about caltex in lyn - my friend more fanatic about caltex, each time die die must fill caltex...he evem schedule every weekend to go fill up at caltex - just the week usage....myself also prefer Caltex, but the only drawback is too few station, so sometime i would settle for BHP, or even Petronas..hate shell, and despise Petron...
