Has anyone notice where most of the taxis fill up their tanks (non-LPG) ? It's Caltex. I do believe the taxis drivers know best because it's their livelihood to get the best FC and performance.

Hahaha maybe, but even if there's a difference I still doubt is that significant enough to be felt, especially if driving normal NA engines. If really high performance cars, or highly modded ones, or forced induction engines, then maybe can feel more difference (like for turbos where you can put on more boost for example). Fifth Gear had done such fuel comparison tests using a midly tuned Golf GTI MK6 (>200whp) and the result was even for different RON rating the difference was still only 3-4hp (which is only <2% from the engine output) which was practically unnoticeable during normal driving. So if different RON rating only return such small difference, then the same RON rating would have even smaller difference, unless the fuel quality is so bad/very much below the supposed std, or somehow contaminated with something else.

Anyway I only fill up Petron coz got loyalty card where 3000pts can be exchanged with rm45 of fuel. biggrin.gif

I have just tried this fuel and find that it really sucks. I read that the techron can clear old gunk but after using I find worst fuel I have ever tried. Not smooth at all, makes my wira stutter and very difficult to start car. Fuel economy also bad.

Anyday, I will go back to Petron or petronas way smoother and better fuel economy.

Anybody also same experience when using this fuel?

since when petronas become economy fuel?

tried shell, petronas, caltex and petron, this time is the first time i pump bhp not sure what's the FC but throttle feel smoother compare to caltex

been using caltex for half a year and FC is definitely better than petron, petronas and shell

i dont like shell at all, last time pumped shell at different station and i see gas coming out more than the petrol going in shakehead.gif while caltex and bhp got lesser gas come out while pumping, feel safer and good for my nose tongue.gif

petron is a big no no, shell or petronas only when there is no choice

fuel are the same(same RON and emission standard like euro 2M or 3) , but they will add in different additive on the petrol

eg: caltex=techron , shell=v-power

I thought BHP is Euro 3 standard? Although they declare is Euro 2, but their fuel is indeed Euro 3 right?
