There are quite a few games that look better on Dreamcast than on PS2. Dead Or Alive 2, Ferrari F355 Challenge, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Grandia II, even Capcom Vs SNK 2. The problem is mostly due to the PS2's lack of anti-aliasing compared to the Dreamcast.
Certain games, like Dead Or Alive 2 and Capcom Vs SNK 2, despite being released simultaneously on Dreamcast and PS2, clearly look better on Dreamcast. It probably has something to do with the NAOMI arcade board, which powers the aforementioned games, which, incidentally, is a souped up Dreamcast.
Others, like Grandia II and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, are simply ports of existing Dreamcast games, which may or may not be a good idea. Grandia II on Dreamcast had very good textures, thanks to the Dreamcast's massive texture memory. The PS2 version, on the other hand, ended up being a muddy port, coupled with the classic PS2 "jaggies". Needless to say, this is a bad port job.
On the other hand, RE:CVX, enjoyed an upgrade, thanks to some increased polygon count, better lighting, enhanced sound, and MPEG2-quality video. This is an example of how a game can be made better when porting from another system.
