BTW, ShenMue is  a lotsa over-rated boring crap. ShenMue 2 is much much better though.

i'm not biased, as i own both consoles.

i admit PS2's graphics are nicer, but only just. PS2's main downfall is the lack of AA. But it makes up in raw performance in terms of polygons per sec. Dreamcast can't process graphics as fast as the PS2 due to its inferior Power-VR chip. but it produces some of the best looking games in its time coz of its full screen AA, and will still be able to challenge the PS2 now. if 3DFX just shut up and quietly manufacture for the Dreamcast, both 3DFX and Dreamcast will still be alive today. another dumb idea for Sega was to include the dumb GD-ROM instead of a DVD-ROM. if the DVD-ROM was chosen instead, the PS2 wun be where it is now. scary experiences from its previous Sega Saturn also drove big publshers away (eg. EA). that's why i blame the management of Sega for screwing things up.

btw, u can't compare the graphics of 2 different generations of VF, especially when VF4 came out way later than VF3 (and on different platforms). graphical improvements r bound to happen.

I'm looking for a working version of Shenmue 2. The one I have, it will hang at the 3rd disc. I just couldn't find a working version until today... it's been... 2 years i think?

hehe....recently just played Ikaruga...quite a nice topdown shooting game....going to get to play Soul Calibur soon...can't wait to play the best fighting game...ever

Skies of Arcadia - fantastical sky battle
Grandia II - good combat i heard!
Sonic Adventure - just for that whale scene!
Shenmue - heard quite a slow game
Resident Evil: Code Veronica - scary la...la la la
Jet Grind Radio - hip hop sk8er boy game!

no matter what EA does,(create crappy games,create borderline good games) they still sell tremendously well... rclxub.gif
i honestly think the biggest reason the DC failed,was because of EA.
no EA,you lose alot of games...especially film/other media based games.
eventhough a lot of them suck,they still sell.. doh.gif

if the developer isnt very good in programming for a particular console,it would be worse(graphics/gameplay/etc) regardless of how good the technical specs are..

just take a look at mgs2 substance-the xbox version lags where the ps2's doesnt sweat.gif and the xbox is technically superior on paper to the ps2

i dont know bout anyone else,but Virtua Tennis is THE game that made me want a DC.
it totally blew me away the first time i saw it in a game shop...

There are Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast, but its either Japanese or European version. Its never released in North America because Mircosoft obtained exclusive rights to the game in the United States for its Xbox.

give me 1000 reasons to play Shenmue...hehe i heard its very slow, and very lots of 'ya so'...and of course the detailed graphics...i like more action rpg type...
