I used this type of product before. The effect is the same as this nano product where the water cannot seep in and become droplets. But after few months it not longer waterproof any more. The application is same using brush and the solution get seep inside cement, brick, marble, even tiles. Then problem is it cannot last. Beginning is fantastic. So I think if this nano product is same then it is useless, waste effort and money. Hope it is different and permanent?

These two.

One is acrylic sealer Dolphin Brand. It is a acrylic paint. It treat only the surface and will not last.

The other one is UFIXX brand waterproof sealer. As shown in the picture it seep into concrete capillaries and water will not get in and form droplets like what is shown by the nano product, but the effectiveness dont last long. I also mix this with grout, beginning ok but later few months it get darken. If the nano is of the same then no point.

Warranty only if we do the coating by ourselves and we do a 1 to 1 product replacement if you receive a defective bottle.

We also mix Surfapore C with grout and lay them on a new toilet for water repellent purposes and stop the grout from turning black.

http://www.nanophos.com/en/SurfaPoreC_en.html

You can also coat it on the grout but brushing or acid cleaning will eat off the grout. We did this 4 months back and did not receive any bad feedback yet. Finger crossed.

Ufixx is a membrane type of coating and it is not long lasting.

For concrete use this --> http://www.pyeproducts.com/prodetails.php?...de=PRFS&lang=en

For 14yrs, I coat it 2x on the water tank concrete area. And the surrounding brick wall. Than finish up with some paint to protect it. Not a single drop of water sip in for this long yrs.

Hi there, I do believe your solution is totally sealed the surface's pores while our products do not seal the surface's pores completely. One of the most important advantages of SurfaPore C is the “breathability” of the modified surface. In case moisture is trapped or a water leakage takes place behind a SurfaPore C modified surface, water can evaporate through the open pores to the environment relieving negative capillary pressure. In this manner swelling, cracking, and warping of material are prevented. All in all, SurfaPore modified surfaces remain dry and unchanged in both appearance and mechanical properties. Hope this information gives you a better understanding on Nanophos products.

Yes, you are right. it is not meant to waterproof but seal. It is to seal and make material shinny nice looking or wet looking. Waterproof material or coating has to be breathable, as concrete need to breath.
