Thanks for the demo Dillon - I will try it out the coated patch tomorrow after sufficient setting and post a picture for you guys to see. I did a quick test just now and it works pretty well while still taking in some moisture (can see that nicely on the concrete) - that's could because the concrete still can breathe.

All in all this might be a good product to prevent weather (read: moisture) damage.

It depends how you define the hairline crack and what is the width size. Can you include a picture here?

It is not a one type fits all kind of product.

Perhaps you can use http://www.nanophos.com/en/SurfaPoreC_en.html to coat over your bathroom grouting.

As for bathroom tiles, if it is polished, there is no need for coating. Unless it is rough surface, you can coat it over using http://www.nanophos.com/en/SurfaPoreT_en.html

Look similar hairline crack, do the liquid seal the gap? If not water will still slip in the hairline crack. I want to seal the gap so no water will slip in like the product from PYE "pye krek seal", not sure how effective it is.

It will not seal in the gap, the product will create a surface tension so the water will have beading effects and stop it from seeping it.

I would suggest you to use the off the shelf membrane, film coating such as PYE if you want it to seal off the hairline crack.

OK I do have some feedback and made pictures.

First of - it works as advertised. But during yesterdays downpoor I noticed that there is little difference when there is very rain. Also it takes much longer for the water to disappear, because the concrete cannot absorb and dissipate the water anymore. I never thought about this - but that is not a bad thing against the product. I will use it for my bathrooms. But for outdoor I will have to think about it. Here are some pics to see how effective the product is after just a single coat.

the lighter are is the treated area in the first picture.

Worked in R&D before, the actual cost for this kind of superhydrophobic solutions was like RM10k per 10 litres. Others cheap solutions goes off after several testing

By using http://nanophos.com/en/SurfaPoreM_en.html on marble counter tops, we are able to prevent oil from seeping in into the marble itself.

No water dilution needed, use off the bottle. For application method, you can lightly brush on your surfaces and it will last up to 5 years.

For marble, granite, stone and cement surfaces.
http://www.nanophos.com/en/SurfaPoreM_en.html

"Retains functionality up to 350C, making it ideal for application on kitchen tops or other surfaces where hot objects are placed"

Application method

Wipe off the excess with a wet cloth after 15 minutes of coating.

Can you elaborate more on toilet floor? You want to coat on your toilet grouting?
